  • Savvy - fab cards, my favourite is the baby one, although I think the bike one is soooo clever.
Well I resisted and didn't even bother looking at the Artymiss sale, I have bought too much already recently (mainly scrapbooking stuff).
  • Ikkle87 - lovely cards, the colours are great.
Pink-winged - again great cards, are you really a beginner? Don't worry I always upload my pictures wrong and end up stretching the thread too.
  • Furrypig - I love your cards, especially the rugby one. I always find it so hard to make men's cards.
  • Pink, Furrypig, Ikkle and Savvy Beautiful cards:T :T :T :T

Savvy - a similar question to pinks. I can post more than one picture on a post but can you tell me how to place them side by side so as to save space when posting more than one. Thanks

Here is a christmas card I have made for my husband

Pink - you make me laugh with your picture posting! ;)

I just put one pic in and then tap the space bar a couple of times and put another in, and depending on the size of the pics you can do it again on one row. When you are replying to a thread, the editing box isn't that big so you probably don't see it do that, but when you post they sit next to each other IYSWIM  LOL we're learning loads on this thread at the mo ;)

Thanks all for you very kind words re my card attempts! :o The Fathers Day one went off to him in time for this year, and he immediately recognised what it was :T:T All the little photos inside the shape of the motorbike are pics of the Ace Cafe in London, where he used to hang out as a biker in the 60's, and then of bikes and bikers from that era outside the Cafe, so like the clocks are clocks from a 60's bike etc, and an old pic of the Cafe forms the engine block. I tried damn hard to see if there were any pics of him there on the net, but it was hard getting old pics tbh  The edging represents the chequered flag with all the races they used to do and is also the main colours for Ace Cafe's logo.

The hands and feet on the baby card are silver rub-ons that I put on tissue paper and then stuck on the card, and then the blue ribbon up the side compliments it with baby footprints - which I think I've run out of now cos everybody seems to be having boys!! This was the other card I put it on but I think I may have posted this one before :o

abusybee - I like the green embossed (I think that's what it is) paper you've used, where did you get that?

hllo all. Loving the cards. That 2nd baby one is fabulous savvy.
I've been unable to do much this week as have had hideous chest pains this week. Spent Wednesay night in casulaty having tests (managed to write my Christmas card list and decide what type of card to give to each person whilst waiting for test results so wasn't all wasted time.
So I've been thinking about what to do next and wondered if anyone had any ideas what to do with this

I was given one in a bag of stickers that I got from a friend for my birthday. It's really nice but I feel like it has to be made into a really special card. Can't think how to do it with their being no head!
The other thing I have been thinking about is what is the most moneysaving way to use pages of alphabet stickers. I bought one a few weeks ago and it only had 2 'y's on it so Happy Birthday would finish all those. Can anyone think of any greetings card phrases that use up the unusual letters?
    keep up he good work!

Busybee that card is lovely...I want an embossing machine too :(
    Savvy what a lovely card

Dawn...Hope your feeling ok now...how about doing the santa outfit all on one card and using a face of the person your giving it too
You could put HAVE A PERFECT/GREAT DAY ...that would only use 1 Y
ZOOMING THROUGH THOSE YEARS ...would make a funny slogan for an "older" person..You could use NOT 21 AGAIN? or for a 50th how about ENTERANLY 49 or TIME TO START COUNTING BACKWARDS

Another thing I use with limited letters or words is to place them on a piece of card and chalk, water colour or whatever you want over them as you would a stencil then lift them and use them again next time. You can get about 4-5 uses out of each letter that way.

I have used the first letter of the slogan as a chalk and then used the more common letters of the peel off so "Your 21 Today" would only use 1 Y..Or alternate letters stenciled and maybe use peel off pen to colour the letters you want to use...Am I making sense ...lol if not I will post a picture of what I mean

I was suppose to set the challenge for this week but with all the decorating and cleaning up afterward I havnt had much time so if Polly and everyone doesnt mind I will set it this Sunday unless someone else wants too

Iklle...yes its still on heres the direct link to it http://www.artymiss.co.uk/acatalog/Discount_Craft_Sale.html
Staples have 50 sheets of A4 white card for 4.99 Or if its cards you want look in Works they have 2x50 boxes of cards white, cream or mixed pastel for £8 not bad for 100 cards and envelopes
The ones on Artymiss are quite good they were 5 for 49p with envelopes http://www.artymiss.co.uk/acatalog/Card_Making_Supplies_and_Craft_Supplies_info_DCBC26.html and they still have the DCWV card kits for £1
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel
