Not if it's a bank transfer, no.
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.

    I've been Money Tipped!
If it's a cheque then yes - You can still stop a cheque. He culd say tht he lost one or his c/book was stolen, in which case it can be bounced back out of your account up to 3 months later.

Get him to do a bank transfer - he can't reverse that and it's still free.

  • ok, yesterday he texted me saying he has made the banktransfer and that it should clear by thursday or friday and that he can send me a screenshot of his payment.

I wondered, why does he want to send me a screenshot if he has definitely payed it, so I texted him saying that I will wait untill friday and if it is not cleared by then, then a screen shot will not make a difference.

To my amazement he texted back saying "look I am really trying here, if you dont recieve it by friday then so be it, I'll see you in court, bye!"

I didn't reply to him after that text and having read that text I have a VERY strong feeling that he hasn't paid, but it won't really make a difference to me, I'll just continue with the court case since I have not cancelled it yet :D

has he included the £30 to cover your court fees?
  • nope, read the post before that.

He has emailed me a screenshot eventhough I asked him not to, I have spotted something in the layout that may look as though he has forged it, but I can't be sure. He has done it via Barclay's bank online service. I do not have a barcaly's online account so I can't compare the screenshot with anything.

Does anyone have an online barcaly's bank account so that I can send them the screen shot and they can compare it?

I do, send me a pm:)
  • At the end of the day it doesn't matter if he has got screen shots of something or not. If the money doesn't appear in your account then you haven't been paid.

I would suggest that you no longer contact him. If the money doesn't appear in your bank account by Monday proceed with the small claims hearing. He has your bank details. If he is serious about sorting this out he has no excuses for not doing it.

I've had a look and it looks genuine. I can't see anything out of place.

But beardface is right, if the money doesn't appear, then it doesn't matter.

Does the payment include the £30 court fee?

DONT take a screenshot as proof :-)

you CAN cancle a payment 24 hours after it's 'made'

the ONLY proof you take is when it shows as cleared funds in your bank, 5 working days is around normal
    money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)
