    Robin,
Did you ever get this kit set up?
I had the same problem initially, where when i was installing the software on the disc, at the last stage it would pop up "Cannot communicate with Router. If this continues please call Technical Support" (Or something along those lines).

The way i managed to get it to run - is to boot my laptop up, connect to the WAN (Which it found straight away - remember its not passworded yet), and then went to http://192.168.1.1 and logged in using the admin/admin user/pass (found on another sheet of paper in the box).
I then set it up manually via the router's http page, Which i found much easier than the software they tried to push me with!.

I think the reason it couldn't communicate in the first place is because i had already used the NIC Card it was connected to, to connect straight to my laptop via LAN, not sure though.. but it all works now !

Hi, can anyone help me? I bought one of these and only have a laptop at home but i want to be able to use it wirelessly. Can it be done with this kit? It seems to imply you need two computers, am i right?

I am a bit confused with all the information. If someone can tell me i can't then i will stop wasting my time trying to understand whats going on.

You only need 1 computer. You may find it easier to set up the equipment if it is connected to your laptop through the (supplied) ethernet cable but once it is set up it does not need to be connected to another computer for it to work wirelessly with your laptop..

I just went into my local PC World to find a pallet load of these for sale all marked up at £39.99.

Which makes the "£79.99 instore price" which they state online very misleading.

Got one of these for my son today and it scanned at £79.99 before I told them our 'collect-at-store' code.

That does surprise me. As I said, they were all marked up at £39.99 at my local store.

Went into PCWorld in Bolton today and they were marked up at £85.99! Luckily I had used the collect@store so it was only the £39.99.

    Bargain!
  • I saw these being put out along with the flyer on Thursday and went to buy one and got told sorry it's only on offer at the weekend.

So I got one today in pcworld Dudley, It scanned up to £79.99 but the lady on the till just scanned the promo code herself without me actually having to say anything.
