Well, need to find about £300 asap to issue the divorce, which i wasn't expecting on having to pay upfront, but will find it. Somehow.

All in place now, but my sol thinks the district judge isn't going to just pass the divorce based on the childcare arrangements and the fact I'm divorcing on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour, so looks like we may well be going to court whatever, oh joy. Ex has been all smug, going well, that's wrong, it needs to be retified by the court, blah blah blah and I feel rather violent towards him but will remain calm. Have to really, eh?!

  • But if he has a g/f, you may find it cheaper to do it on adultery. We never made a court apperance & they seemed happy enough with our childcare arrangements. However there was no financial, or house ties between us. My house, I was/am crup with money, he was/is far worse!

Just need to point out that if you do on adultery, he will need to make a statement - which hurts so don`t read it! OR you could name her & drag her through court!

Like I say revenge is pointless, but an opportunity is not to be missed!

Thanks- I don't want to do that, and he would never admit it either. I think the sticking points will be over the chlidcare arrangements really.

Still plodding on with the reviews...going more slowly now but I WILL get that £50, I WILL I tell you :D

Don't meant to but in on your thread! Just wanted to say I am thinking of you! I can't begin to imgine how hard it is to be living in the same house as your ex! My ex lives a few streets away and that is way too close!
When we first split he wanted shared care of the children (although that has not happened - something to do with him being on bail for harassment! and becoming a complete psycho!) My solicitor basically told me that if we were both happy with the shared care arrangements then the court was unlikely to argue - so long as the kids were provided for - not sure if this gives you any reassurance!

Hope everything goes on ok, regardless of your soon to be ex, the most important people in this are you and the children, it may take time for your children to adjust to the new living arrangements, have they got a support network, just incase they dont want to tell you, not for you not wanting to know, but they might not want to worry you.
I noticed you havent counted for CSA payments, dont leave yourself out of pocket.
Re his new g/f, guess its just the novelty factor, and if hes met her so quick, come when the reality settles you can bet a pennt to a £1. it wont be a bed of roses.
Sounds like you have been through the mill one way and another, but you take care xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

hey all - another day of ex being a git. Gosh, it's like he's trying to make me really really dislike him. I asked him again to leave, told him I wouldn't change the agreements we'd made etc. but he's just being a nightmare and I really am not dealing with him living here anymore at all. Grrrr.

Going to ring CCCS in a min to do my review and change all the details etc. as I think (HOPE) he's gone by december and then I can just get on with things.

Hope all are well today. I got my amazon voucher - well, the confirmation email anyway, so that'll be good :) Hope it does come through.
