hi all
Just got back from a lovely weekend with family at a youth hostel - hire one out once a year and then all go for the weekend - had a wonderful time.
Things are getting worse here - I just can't bear to be living with him anymore. But will have to be patient. Going to look on freecycle for a bed for DD - I'd love a cabin bed thing- might see if I get any money for birthday/Christmas and see what's in the sales as well. I turn 30 (argh!!) just after christmas, so you never know!
People are being so lovely so I have lots of offers of weekends away around the country - just have to get there and then won't have to spend anything.
Feeling a little more positive now - been up and down so much recently. Feeling fragile most of the time, especially as he is rubbing new gf in my face (not literally, not met her obviously) but he's making it VERY obvious when he's going to go meet her and text me today from her's etc. Doing it to wind me up i think - and while that's fine that he's moving on, I really don't need it to be in my face at the moment! Sounds silly i know!
Anyway, got loads to do and it's already past 10pm. Not good!
Hope you are all well and have had a nice weekend. I just keep eyeing things up in the house that I can sell once he's gone hehe!

Great that youre feeling more positive and sorry that he's being as he is but I hope that just reconfirms that you are doing the right thing. Just dont react/bite as hes clearly trying to wind you up and if you say nowt you "win"...leave him to it and let it wash over you if you can!! Your tax credit will probably be around £40 a month. I earn roughly the same as you (a teacher too
) and get about £40.

In my experience, the ex left 9 yrs ago to live with TART! (turns into Ma Boswell) They are not living together now, but still have a relationship - she can`t drive him away from his daughter, so he keeps trying on her terms!
She thought that I wouldn`t send DS each wk/end as planned,as she`d managed at that time to drive the 2 fathers of her kids away. leaving her in sole charge.
But, as much as it hurt, I made sure that DS went and continues to go.
Just to point out that g/f is only intrested in the nice side of things & that once things get sticky - poorly, sick, miserable kids, skint due to debts and the nice meals/night out have gone, she may not be around, assuming she not got kids!
The point of the ramble is to say, make sure he has your kids as planned each & every time, unless they REALLY don`t want to go, beacuse A) they need him,(you know this,)gives you a break,(though it wont feel like it the first few times,) and C) Revenge is pointless, but an opportunity is not to be missed!

Sea do you have any sort of a timescale that the solicitor has given you to have things sorted?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

I find myself living a different life too, ie it's all down to me now. I have similar financial figures to you. Have been playing with my snowball and been more realistic. DFD now Oct 2013.
Now on a mission to sort this out big time and will follow your progress with interest. (but not the financial kindDC.

hi Sea
Glad to hear that things are progressing, if not going well for you at the moment. I will try to keep up with this diary a bit, but things are busy here.
I hope that you can manage to keep things neutral for the childrens sake.
I too wonder at how long the joint custody will last....
robjakI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Hey all - well - rang solicitors today asking just how long I'd have to wait to hear anything and if he was just too busy I'd find another sol - guess what? I have an app tonight at 6.30!! I didn't mean to be an !!!!, just need to get this sorted.
Will be interesting to see how things pan out with the ex as I feel that my dd will go nuts at not seeing me for a whole week. Perhaps 5 day rotation would be easier(then we'd still get some weekends off each etc). I will discuss it with him later.
Am madly writing reviews for qype thingy - I WANT that £50 voucher lol - christmas woul dbe so sorted then!
Different Corner - LOVE your sig - bloody hilarious - will have to write that down!!!
Hypno - I hope after tonight's meeting I'll get a timescale and I really really hope he's out before Christmas. I need to know in advance so I can alter the CCCS payments as well.
SamanthA - completely agree - I'm going to ensure he has them for the time he says he wants them asnd see how he copes - the new gf has no kids, and is independent (no job, has money) so we'll see how that one goes!
It's just him rubbing my nose in it that's irking me! I will rise above it though, as you say ISOM. Taxi - completely agree
Prudent, that's what I thought I'd get - which is what i get now with ex living here on our combined salaries- odd isn't it?! Ah well, better than nothing
Anyway, off to write more reviews and not get sidetracked by MSE
Hope all are goodChev - you really busy? Everything ok?
