    hi
i was never a lover of crates but after getting lucy our staffie cross and walking the floor with her all night (at one point she jumped that high she ended up on the washer) i got one and its the best thing ever
    here are a few tips
put in a old jumper of yours
with lucy we even had to have her in our bedroom for a couple of nights
then moved her to landing and then downstairs.
make the crate somewhere they want to go , put in toys and you can get a water bowl that fits on the side.
i have a blanket over the top for the drafts and a quilt in for her now, she is 4yrs.
lucy used to be in the kitchen but the crate was so big we moved it to her
bedroom a year ago, she nows expects me to go to bed at 10.30pm after her last walk of the night and loves the crate.
so what i am saying is make it cosy put a blanket on to keep some of the light out, NEVER LOCK HIM IN when he's been bad and he will love it.
