Each of those 9 watches is confirmation the e-mail system is still working .....
Precisely! After all the complaining I did last week about receiving "other" emails, I've not had a single one all weekend apart from ones I've sent to myself to see if it's actually working“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

It's blooming odd isn't it, apart from those earlier the emails have been pretty thin on the ground in the last 2 days!0 -

It's quite unnerving actually or maybe I'm just being paranoid“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Damn the consequences of sending out 10,000 emails a day as promised?
Well, I wonder what they would be? The only consequence I can see is that people get their money back within the promised timeframe.
What scenario do you see? Armageddon? Iceland sinking into the see? Pray tell.
Look, I'm a reasonable person. IF just 10,000 emails have been sent out so far, that is not acceptable.
If the Daily Mail is wrong, then it's they who should check their facts.
I don't see why I should be attacked or painted as some spoilt child.
What scenario did I envisage..... we'll it was a practical one of the payments system (servers / infrastructure) failing causing more problems / delays / suffering. Whether 10000 is acceptable depends on the Mos being correct (which everone has assumed) and what plans they have / what numbers they envisage going forward.
Speaking as someone who has their entire (meager savings) in IceSave and has had to make compromises (stop spending / taken out a 0% Credit Card) until I receive my money, I feel the situation has been handled very well both at a practical and political level.
Obviously, if I'm sat here in three months time waitng for my money then I will be very upset but, in the meant time all things considered (as mentioned previously) am happy to wait.
Edit: Having just read JM104 thread, their web site has gone down today - food for thought perhaps.

Icesave site works fine for me.
Your level of tolerance extends to another three months. Mine is fast running out. But I'm naturally impatient.
So good luck to you.
I sincerely hope none of us are having this same - or even more fractious - dialogue in another month's time.0 -
I suppose I just think people have lost sight of what could have happened and now that they are guaranteed their money a lot of people are being slightly less than patient (not singling any one person out).
As with life, its all down to individuals circumstances etc.

I don't think the fact one person is experiencing problems accessing their own account qualifies anyone to say that the website has gone down!
No one else has reported a problem to my knowledge, and I along with several others certainly had no problem logging in earlier“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

We have all been through the what could have happened thingy and it's now starting to wear thin, we are all very much aware of how much worse off we could have been but the way some people talk it seems that no matter what awful event occurs to us they will keep harping on "yes but look how you might have lost all your money in Icesave etc".
The fact is that many people have been without access to their money for over 5 weeks now and some are getting desperate, I have heard of some people with large bills to pay and very little money to pay with as it's locked in Icesave through no fault of their own, fortunately I am not in that situation but I feel really sorry for those that are, I would happily wait my turn if the worse off people could be compensated first but due to the way it is being carried out it is understandable why people feel that we are not being treated equally anymore with some people having their cash a long way before others with it's advantages for reinvestment and monetry reward.
I can quite understand how people who are desperate for their funds who may face another 2 or 3 weeks wait are starting to get annoyed when many others have access to theirs, and TBH I can see them getting angrier as the weeks tick by.0
