LGG, yes, I just had an ISA, no easy access. ISA was opened empty and then had 2 ISAs from previous years transferred in. I can't remember if there was anywhere on the original form that I had to give current a/c details or not. Yes, I have the initiate button (I think everyone does) but it doesn't do anything. If I have to wait till the end then so be it, but I'd like to know rather than checking my email obsessively. And if I do get an email and use the initiate button, where will it go? Presumably they won't reopen the ISAs the money came from, will they?0

I've not had my second email yet either. Don't really expect one, since my ISA was funded totally from transfers in and I don't remember giving them a current account at any stage. Anyone remember whether the online ISA sign up had a linked account bit?
So I guess I'm waiting for a letter. Have we heard when paper-based applications are going out, or have I got to wait till all the internet ones are
sorted?
My ISA was also funded entirely by a transfer in but I know for certain that I had to give them a linked account to facilitate both withdrawals and DDRs in. I also have not had my second e-mail yet but neither have more than half of all savers (probably).
Nil desperandum! Just yet anyway."L'enfer, c'est les autres"0 -
Thanks StarRover, maybe I'm being unduly pessimistic and I did give them account details!0

I've just dug my Icesave paperwork out and there is a "Confirmation of the set-up of your direct debit instruction" which details my linked account which had to be supplied as part of the on-line sign up.
I can relate to your undue pessimism and personally feel that the FSCS could use a rocket up their collective a**e!"L'enfer, c'est les autres"0 -

Morning all.
According to Mail on Sunday online:
"By friday the FSCS said it had sent emails to 10,000 of 200,000 Icesave account holders, inviting them to apply for refunds, and paid out £250 million.
What happened to the 10,000 emails a day?0 -
Knew it!
:rotfl: :rotfl: I thought about you when he was voted off“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
Just 10,000 have been sent out in six days?
Sorry, but I don't think that's anywhere near acceptable.
At this rate, the FSCS really WILL be taking it to the wire, with thousands still not compensated by the 4th December "get in touch" deadline.
That means some "lucky" people will have had a full month's interest over others.
No, no, no.
That's not right at all.0
