    Still no word from:

    2cats1kid
    Ken C
    Zanshin
    Chmmy
    Vectra

There was word from me - several in fact, all very depressed. I really am happy for you folks but I just want to cry right now. I have had a letter, no 2nd email and no initiate, so it looks like I have another 6 weeks to go while they sort out the paper based route. I am so hacked off I'm just about numb now, I just want to be able to move on and I can't. In fact between Christmas and cheques having to clear and all, I'll be lucky if I see my money in my account before the end of January now.

Feeling a bit sorry for myself

I think KenC was going Golfing so may not know yet, Hope he is lucky today.

To anyone else still waiting I am damn sure you will get yours either tomorrow or Saturday at the latest, working the figures out I reckon there are only around 20,000 to 30,000 left to pay via the BACs route.

Indeed I was golfing, or "olfing" as some of you know. Anyway I teed off at at 9:50 after a very nice bacon roll and checked my e-mails at the second hole. Nothing! I forgot all about checking again until the 9th tee at around 11:40 and there it was, an e-mail had been sitting there for an hour. I phoned my wife and got her to initiate which she did around 12ish. She had problems as the site kept crashing.

I should have know that today was to be the day. It was one of the only days when I could not initiate myself but it is also the day when I made alternative arrangements to raise cash and get some deposits fixed. Now it looks like I needn't have bothered.

I am pleased that others olso received their e-mails today and wish those left receive theirs later today or tomorrow at the latest.

Apologies 2cats, I had not spotted you had had a letter:( I don't know if that means you can't initiate at all and have to wait for them to send another letter?

    I really feel for you

Sorry to hear that. That is really bad news. I know what you mean about wanting to get the whole thing over and done with.

Even though you know there are more important things than icesave you just can't somehow stop it taking over your life.

I hope the FSCS are able to sort things a lot quicker than the 6 weeks.
MSE. Abandon hope all ye who enter here :D

Tried to phone them and listened to a looooong message and then sat on hold for ages. In the meantime I read a thread where several people have said that once you are in the paper system they won't let you out of it, so no point holding on the phone any longer.

I have just short of 11K in an ISA so it's not like I have a ton of money in there for them to find, but it's enough that it's driving me mad waiting for it.

I can only assume since it was funded with a transfer in, they reckon there isn't a linked account, although someone said (on this thread?) that on the form to open the ISA you had to give a linked account? Dunno. That's all I can think of. Think that is annoying me, is they must have known the people they were going to do by paper, so why did they wait till the whole world and his monkey had had a second email before letting me in to play? I am so far behind everyone else I'll get squit % on an ISA by the time I get my money back and heaven only knows how long the certificate will take after that.

Sorry I'm a downer on your party, but I'm mightily p!ssed off and shall drown my sorrows big style tonight.
