  • After initiating my three accounts in the very early hours, it took 17 hours for the confirmation emails to arrive and then they turned up in the SPAM folder on Yahoo, which I have been checking as regualrly as the inbox.
Oddly, still able to log on to Icesave although it tells me that the claims have been processed.
  • The namby-pamby moneysupermarketeers have cautiously mentioned us again:

    Quote
"On a different note, I had a look at the MSE forums last night and was much amused to see that some people think us lot are a bunch of wimps because none of us are brave enough to even type in the MSE URL, let alone read the postings or (scream of terror) join in. There was a suggestion that they invade the MScom forum en masse after all the emails have arrived.
Weeelllll, I say... come on over !! Bring a bottle (as long as it's not meths and you don't intend glass us with it). We may be on different lifeboats, but we all nearly went down with the same ship. Let's all party !!! Yeehhh !!
Moderator: will the system cope with another 50,000 bloggers running amok...???"

    and another Quote:

"Well that's where I started (MSE) after 7/10 kicked off and couldn't deal with the online hooliganism... know where I'd rather be ;-) "

Never realised I was an online hooligan :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Considering my inability to receive an email I reckon I should be demoted and some else should take charge!

Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. The stresses of leadership are great indeed. :xmassmile (couldn't find a crown so found a Santa hat instead)

You have been there for everybody so far and the end is in sight (really):kisses:
  • I've never ran amok in my life! In fact I don't know how to run amok - I only do ambling slowly

It's getting very lonely in this thread now, most people have got their emails and money and moved on, I shall be talking to myself soon!
  • Have had a gruelling day, had to attend a coroner's inquest, but have just logged on and managed to initiate on both my accounts. What a relief!

Sorry Nilrem I thought I would be there at the end with you - I never got the 1st email and so didn't have much faith in seeing the 2nd.

Don't give up hope - I hope with all my heart you get yours tomorrow

Care to take a bet on who'll be last?

I think the next to last person should buy the last person a beer

I think there may possibly be some misinformation regarding joint accounts.

I have a joint account with my wife, although part of the savings were in a fixed rate account in her name only.

I received the email a few days ago and was able to initiate the transfer on the joint part of the account. The fixed part is still stuck there and I hope she'll get the email soon, especially as it's a very sizeable chunk.
