Well I have been avoiding the forum since the afternoon because I am so despondent at not getting the email that I felt you all needed a rest from my constant moaning.
The situation is still the same, I have not received a second email and clicking the initiate button just tells me to clear off.
Now I read somewhere in this thread (earlier today) that if one has a joint easy access account one cannot get the funds the bacs way and one has to do paper based by post!
Both accounts we have, easy access and fixed are joint, can anyone confirm that I won't be able to do my joint accounts online?
Has anyone been able to initiate a joint easy access?
The potential problem reported by R4CHY seem to be where there is a mix of joint and individual accounts e.g. a joint account, plus an account in the sole name of the husband and an account in the sole name of the wife.
If your accounts are both in joint names I have not seen any problems reported in that scenario.MSE. Abandon hope all ye who enter here0 -
Im still waiting........dont have joint account though. Just an ISA.0

Colonel Sir Nilrem??? Good to see you back here Sir, we've missed you this afternoon. Paper applications only for joint accounts? Seems that this was another bit of serious FSCS helpline misinformation, as other posters will confirm. Amistupid has lined up the firing squad.
We all have our fingers, toes and absolutely everything else crossed for you for tomorrow, Sir.Every rule has an exception.......:rolleyes20 -

Hi Nilrem
I managed to move the joint easy access funds the bacs way and my isa, it was my husbands that they won't initialise because the destination accounts are the same - he has been posted a form to fill in. Apparently if he had moved the joint easy access using his login it would have been my isa that would be locked. That's what FSCS said anyway, they were not helpful at all on the phone. Someone else earlier did suggest that I had been given duff info from them, from the experience of dealing with the other showers of sh*t KE and Ing it would not surprise me at all. Anyhow I will be filling in the form as I don't know what else to do. Hope your 2nd email arrives soon - fingers crossed for you and all the other waiters!
