Been in work all day, just been catching up with all the news on here. Doesn't appear to have a great day today for many regulars here, though I'm happy for those who have been able to claim today. I know how hard it is but try to keep your spirits up.

Golf, Ken (or olf, as you so sweetly put it), when all this sh*t is happening! I do admire your fortitude! Also Kent (but further south, nowhere near Chatham), but sending cheque Guaranteed Next Day Delivery tomorrow and hoping for the best. With any luck they will be up to their eyeballs in applications so will not bank till next week!

While you lot were having fun at my expense I have taken the decision to draw down my mortgage so that I can send off the cheques to BM and KRBS. It is a flexible mortgage and the money will be in my account within 2 business days. Then, as soon as I get the Icesave proceeds I can send them a cheque.

It will cost me a bit in additional interest but nothing compared to getting 2 years fixed at over 6%.
