It seems pretty clear they have no idea which customer they are sending this latest email to. How could they know as all you sent them was a blank email? They just know they are sending it to someone whose email address does not tie in with ANY customer of icesave's email address (at the time they did the comparison).
So just ignore it. It won't affect when you get your second email.
Before seeing that advice I changed it! I've now changed it back! If that doesn't screw things up for me I don't know what will.
Totally fed up now.
But thanks for all the advice0 -

Susie you were in despair yesterday so no surprise to find you in alt today. You and Nilrem have been the backbone of this little group and I salute you all for the humour and encouragement shown during this time of stress.
Those of us still left without any news or sign of 2nd emails probably feel both pleased for you and a little sad that for some reason we have been singled out for what I cannot but describe as unfair treatment.
After yesterday's rollercoaster I logged on at past midnight and was happy to see the 2 accounts but the initiate "buttons" did not work. The date was shown as 25th. I have just logged on again and the date has altered to 26th but still nothing works so I think this changing of the dates must be a daily routine which we never noticed before but means nothing in terms of activation. Hopes dashed yet again.
Tomorrow is the deadline for sending applications by PO special delivery for several fixed rate bonds. The next 24 hours are crucial for me and others.
Actually I don't hold out much hope. I just want it all to be over one way or another as my BP will not stand much more of this.
Your words are very kind but many have made this a fantastic support group for all. I for one coudl not have got through the last few weeks without it. Please keep the faith , I was totally distarught yesterday and really felt that was it, however I am confident now that all we be sorted over the next few days...........:A
p.s. FSCS have sent me another email just now, sisimilar to those above where email addreeses have changed. Is very odd that since I was able to log on and do claim I have had 3 emaisl since then that are no no longer relevent!!................It shows that there is no rhyme nor reason for who gets it first. good luckxxxxxxxx"Serious money saving Diva"........................................:p

Hadn't received email, but tried to initiate my claim and worked... few minutes later I did receive the second email! Coincidence? Me thinks not.
My wife can't initiate hers though, wait and keep trying...
But my wife got her email at 2:41, and have initiated claim
Strangely, it was a slightly different email to the one I received- this one had a link to www.fscs.org.uk/consumer/icesave_invitation_email to read, rather than having all the information in the email as I did.0 -
Come and get 'em....0

I've been waiting for the second email too, and I just logged onto my Icesave account to see if anything had changed. I was pleasantly surprised to see the "claim now" option there so I went and did it. Then I checked my email and found that the FSCS had emailed me about 10 minutes before!0
