Can i ask you, are you happy or not? The last few post you've made seem like your not happy at all with the whole situation, especially the fact some of us have already got our money back.
But then...
Make your mind up.
I personally think the FSCS have done a blinding job!
Thanks for trolling back through my posts, it must have take quite a while!
I will explain again, I have said time and time again that I am very grateful to be getting my money back and happy with what the FSCS are/were doing, my recent spate of posts are aimed at what I consider is an unfair way of paying out people, up until Sunday we were all being treated the same we were on a level playing field but since then we have entered a lottery with the winners getting their cask back now and others having to wait up to 3 weeks.
May I ask have you had your second email yet?
Edit just noticed your post in another thread and yes of course you have received your 2nd email, says it all really!0 -
No word here, never got the first email and had to follow the emailing instructions at the weekend so not confident at all I am even on the list to get my money back......0
-
I haven't seen the 2nd email and am very relaxed about it; I think the gov & FSCS have doen a surprisingly good job from their start position.
However I had a fixed term bond which matures January so I wasn't planning on the money til then anyhow. In fact it would probably make sense if they had to do stuff in batches for the fscs to do the not yet matured FTBs last 'cos the peeps weren't expecting their money back in the normal course of things anyhow.
I am not at all happy with the Compensation process as it stands though -
Passporting, elapsed time, monetary limits, implications of bank building society amalgamations exposing more savings to less compensation, advertising should be regulated to show what coverage is provided etc. Probably a separate thread BUT A GREAT CAMPAIGN FOR MARTIN - the peoples champion0 -

monkeydog has already said that they've received their money. To be fair, monkeydog makes a good point. It does seem that you were happy to get it by Christmas, but are now annoyed because someone has got it before you - even though it looks like you'll have it by the end of November. Without wishing to call you 'childish'.......
I'll ask again - how would it have been fairer to arrange the queue? (apart from you at the front, which is seemingly the only fair way in your eyes)0 -
Nilrem nice one!
I am new to this forum, only joined when Icesave melted. In these troubled and stressful times I have found most posts very helpful and reassuring. As you are probably aware by my previous posts I have not received a 2nd email. I think this thread is important, giving comfort to those who are stuck in the same boat.
However being an eternal pessimist I can envisage my next new thread Last again! dated 5th December.

First off, your welcome. It didn't take long, about 1 min
I'm intrigued to know why you think the process is unfair. The system obviously cannot handle all the claims at once, so people have been put into a que, the basis of which no one knows. Some are at the front, while others are at the back. Suprisingly some are even in the middle
I think we are all winners here, we have been saved the hassle of dealing with the passport scheme. Basicaaly, we have had to do nothing to get our money back. For that i am extremely gratefull!
Lastly, i had my 2nd email at the start of the week, money was paid into my account today.
I lay in wait of your next reply that starts with, 'you would say that, you've had your money...'0 -
%$£"^&&* Amazon!!!!!!! :mad: :mad: :mad:
I rarely get unsolicited emails to my personal account yet over the last couple of days I've had several from Screwfix, Euroffice, Moben, Boots, Ryanair and now Amazon! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR “You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Why say it then?
Each to their own but I don't really understand how being concerned about ones money is being childish TBH but you are entitled to your opinions.
It is I suppose quite natural that people such as yourself who have got their money would be very happy but it might be nice if you showed a little thought to those of us who are at the end of the queue.0
