The 99p shop in Birmingham had chocolates that are thin and wrapped in Gold paper. They had Whisky, Cherry, Mint and Hazlenut flavour. There is a good 7 or 8 thin bars in each one.

I saw £1 Christmas scratch cards this week. In theory should be able to complete my 16 pots of gold but Arrghh nowhere to store then that they wouldn't get bashed squashed or dusty:(

If anyone wants a cauldron this year - there's a nice sized one here. This is the pumpkin version of it but there is also one that is a cauldron. It comes with marshmallows and other sweets inside it. Got 2 from poundland :) They're not big/not little either - a nice size :)

apologies if it's already been said......another thing that could be used is flowerpots. either terracotta (for adults) or plastic ones & spraypaint them gold or wrap with gold paper/fabric :)

I've just got back from Ikea and in their Christmas wrapping stuff they had brown paper bags with a picture of Father Christmas on = £2 for 12.

My daughter was with me and suggested we do Bags of Gold this year instead of the pots. That way everyone gets the same bag, even the little children. I'll label them of course. Last year my 4 year old DGS asked why he and the other littlies had a bag when the grown ups all had bowls. Well this year they'll all look the same from the outside. I'll have to adapt the poem though ;)
