Halifax & A&L - Dec 09
MBNA - 9 months but experience has shown they make renewed offers of 0%
Virgin - 9 months time
Mint - just waiting for beginning of month for new offer so can move Egg over
Can you pay these off before their 0% expires? If not, how soon? What would you estimate would be their interest rate after the 0% expires?Jelly_Babies wrote: »I have decided at this point to concentrate on paying NR loans off as they are the highest interest of 8.9% but I may still pay some of the mortgage - decisions, decisions....

Hmmmmmmmm if I can find about £30k then I should be able to pay them off within the time limits :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: slightly hysterical that I may ever find that kind of money. Think I will do the NR loans and keep the CC shuffle on the go. I might win the lottery though, or I could sell my body, or my ball??

The problem is, I was so excited and proud for him, that I just said yes to the money without much thought!

If you couldn't find any more 0% deals, could your finances still cope with that?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Hi JB - just catching up with your diary, It sounds like you will be here to stay now you have the support of your OH, you are not the only one to fall off the wagon and slip into old ways - its a daily challenge for me I can tell you.
Anyway, good luck and I look forward to reading much more

If the 0% deals ran out I would have to find a way to cope TBH! I overpay about £300 a month at the moment and hoping to up that by another £200 in the New Year so hopefully that will cover any extra payments needed for interest. Thinking I have 9 months really to tackle the NR loans and then will take a rain check on the CC's.
Until then, keeping everything crossed!

Not reported in for just over a week but still definately on board the bandwagon still :j
Things are so much easier with OH on my side, we have been doing the Tescos shopping together, being 100% honest about what we've spent money on and criticised each other without argument if we thought the money hadn't been spent well - amazing for us
I have straightened everything up in the cards area so that we are not paying extortionate interest on anything apart from Egg so we will be addressing that hopefully with the Mint card or doing a bit of a shuffle in the next few days. After that we are full steam ahead to overpay, overpay, overpay!! I have budgeted for xmas and xmas outings, we are not overpaying this month as I don't want to put us under too much pressure but the plan is to overpay NR loan with the following in Dec when it all comes through:-
£85 due from Quidco
Due £600 travel expenses from work - will have to allow approx £200 for petrol but leaves a nice £400 dent into the loan
We have listed absolutely loads on Ebay and that is to go towards the debt as well, hope to get £150 roughly for stuff, maybe more fingers crossed.
Really quite excited about it all! Had one blip day last week, when I was mega stressed and went out and bought lunch *doh* - weak moment though, won't be repeated! We have menu planned and stuck to the budget. I've increased our budget for food to £300 and petrol to £150 to be a little more realistic but still trying to be as cheap as possible.
So still steaming ahead, long may it continue!Long haulers supporters DFW #109NR Loan #1 - £2951.18 Nov 08/0 -
