Going to watch Rich Kid, Poor Kid in bed now, it's making me really sad and appreciates that I am far from destitute.

Been successful in no heating today, had fire on all day which heats mine and DS's room nicely and DD has a cosy hot water bottle. The kids are thinking I'm a little bonkers as I am following them around turning lights off and TV's but every little helps!

Good to be back and on board, hopefully this time for the long haul..............

oo me goodness another one back! greta to hear that oh on boards - makes a huge difference me thinks, esp when like moi ya like shopping! Alas I am without an oh so will have to do better meself!
Really sorry to hear re friends death...have experience of this and happy to have a chat of you need as understand how devastating it is...my friend K died in a car crash twenty years ago but I still think of her often and miss her, although thankfully the heart wrenching agondy of when she died has lessened over time...hard to explain that depth of grief to those who havent experienced it though...
Dont forget the long haulers if you want long term people for the ride ahead!

Thank you ISOM - think the only way I can deal with this debt is to stay on here. Was lying in bed last night thinking the amount we owe is completely insurmountable and I may as well give up, worry about recession, losing jobs etc but this morning I am thinking if I tackle the smaller debts surely it will make me realise we could pay all this off? I can potentially pay £20k off next year with serious cutbacks but it would still mean that there is a lot owing - please someone tell me I can do it! :cool:

I do hope the heart wrenching agony goes soon ISOM, it's an absolute precise way to describe it. Can't forget the last time I saw her, I was lucky and got to say goodbye and tell her that I loved her but I would do anything for five more minutes Got my counsellor tonight so can have a good cry then. Got on some jewellry she bought me today, makes me feel close to her.

Taxi - I am indeed going to clear a loan by Easter, I'm going to ring for up to date figure this morning and then may put it on my sig as a goal to pay off. Got £85 due from quidco next month so may pay that straight off as a starting point.

Only thing about coming back here is the distraction from work................

Hmm loan bit more than I though *typical* but with £448 month overpayments I can clear it in 6 months - so here goes the challenge!

Also - no Council Tax in Feb and March so I can hopefully pay extra..............
