Best before simply means the food is at optimum quality before that date not that you can't use it after that date.0

Search me... I'm just as perplexed as the rest of you.I reckon something's been going on between ApprovedFood and Mutter. Wonder what it could be...

I actually think Mutter has issues. I was involved in a discussion on another thread a couple of nights ago re epilepsy, and for no apparent reason she went off on one. Tbh I think it is attention seeking.0

As there is no health risks from these foods, the best before date seems to be a bit of a guess. And he checks the food to see its fine- if itsnot he won't sell it. What about the jars and tins? They don't go off for years as they are in a vacuum. best before is different from sell by and use by dates
I get what your saying but most dried goods don't have a use by date though. They have the best before nothing else its only fresh goods that have the use by date.
For eg I was looking at the Fruit Shoots on the site and they are use by Aug 2008 - the only people that drink Fruit Shoots (occasionally) in my house are the kids and I would not give my kids an 'out of date' product.
Of course this is my opinion and anyone purchasing products from this site are better money savers than me.:pThe shinbone is a device for finding furniture in a dark room.:TBig thanks to all competition posters:T0 -
Well its given us something to talk about. But what about the strawbery sweet enough things? Any idea what they are like?0

I wonder why not? Things that would give them food poisoning I can understand. Things that taste stale, I can see your point. But things that taste just the same as they did the day before they went out of date?OnceUponADream wrote: »I.

My kids are ecstatic when a box arrives. After years of keeping them on a tight leash, snack foods wise, I've been loosening up.
Turns out I was more worried about the cost than the nutrition.:rotfl: 0 -

My daughter who is 5 has had these and she was ok with them. I understand though its not for every body and I respect that. Wins in 09 = A vodka cocktail kit thing lol, £150 Amazon voucher.0 -
Maybe it was a 'credit crunch' story about how they had to shut the website before Christmas to catch up on orders?Just seen a story on BBC news channel Approved Food has shut down due to its own success. Missed the full story. Something from tomorrows newspaper.
All I heard was that Approved Foods a Sheffield based company that had been running for some years had been shut down due to its own success.
Anyone know what its about ? The sites still up?0 -
Please, some of you are getting carried away with the low prices.
Have you read Martin on how to order via the internet?
Only pay via a CREDIT card marked with VISA sign.
Credit card only. Say again, CREDIT CARD MARKED WITH THE VISA SIGN.
Please be careful.
Martin has never said this - he states that there MAYBE more protection with a Visa Card due to chargeback, but I doubt he's anti-mastercard :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :money:
