... and another thing, while I'm sat here chuntering to myself and trying to fill an application form in ... why does nobody ever mention the savings involved in transporting something over water.
The vans aren't driving there so they are saving on fuel, and usually, they aren't paying a driver either, because the vehicles are parked on a ferry by one driver and then picked up at the other end by another. Ha, go knock that off the cost of the ferry journey ...

Must finish that application now ...:D

Well, I have received my order today, and very pleased I am.
As is my OH who I remember rolling his eyes when I told him bout AF. I dont know quite what he was expecting to be delivered but he certainly wasn't expecting the high quality food which was very well packeged. In fact the crisps are even more intact than they are when Mr A delivers them. Outstanding!!!! Thanks Dan. :kisses:

As for delivery charges, I am much happier seeing a delivery charge at the end of the invoice. As a practicing MSE I am all for avoiding marketing ploys, and certainly not promoting them. Can anyone imaging Martin coming on this thread and saying "hay Dan, why dont you hike up your prices to hide delivery costs and to use free delivery as a marketing advantage, you may even make extra profit" ... sorry but I think not. :money:

Maybe the companies who dont charge any extra for NI or Scottish highlands are exorbing the costs, as not many orders come from NI so they can afford not to charge for that?

I think you will find though that most carriers will charge extra for NI, apart from obviously RM parcel service.

It was only a suggestion, thats all. Afterall Dan has asked for suggestions. I feel that this would get more people ordering!!!

    Hello everyone

I just received my first shipment from Approved Foods and am very impressed. I placed my order on Thursday and everything arrived this morning. The goods were well packed.

My neighbour helped me take the delivery box in - it was quite bulky - and was rewarded with some fruit and nut bars and a tin of porridge, so everyone is happy.

I will definitely be ordering from AF again, so my thanks to the person who first posted about this in the MSE forum.

Dan stopped the code when he changed to a better delivery company that charged him more. Maybe Dan could edit his post offering the discount?

    I've done just that.
