approvedfoods... I Love You. I Want You. It's unrequited love but I just can't live with you for one reason and one reason only. With your popularity and demand increasing day by day, could you see it in your heart to compromise, negotiate if you will with your courier and get them to lower their delivery costs? Could you? For me, could you? I know your heart is good, show it to me.

    /I'm not drunk.

To be fair, I'm amazed at how amazingly cheap their delivery charges are..I mean, around a fiver for 20kg (EDIT: Actually 28kg! omg I can't believe people are moaning about "expensive" delivery!)?! That's a whole lotta food!

It might however be useful to add in a lower band for the smaller (read "lighter") orders) but I guess Dan needs to negotiate with his couriers in order to do this, which is probably pretty much bottom of his list right now!

Good luck to ya Dan et al, nice to see a small, [relatively] local company thriving!
  • We've eaten so much food from here in the last few weeks I'm thinking of renting our family out as carbon credits- instead of planting a tree to offset their carbon, people could buy me a box of baking boys cakes from AF.

ooooo nooooo not the fabulous yummy scrummy bakin boys cakes:eek: they cant buy you them:eek: as AF might run out and i will not be able to order a few boxes again in my next order:rolleyes2

I think the bakin boys cakes are in date but are slight seconds- ie some are in the packet upside down, some have a bit of icing missing- but not sure. There was a video on the site of Dan explaining about them at one time, but now I can't see it. Sorry, don't know if what I am saying is right or not...

I hope Dan has those new people trained up and the night shift going- approved food is on the email for tomorrow- look to the right for a link. He has also put it in an updated article on 'beyond best before dates' with a discussion article...

  • Well I've gone and done it and put an order in!

I have been reading this thread for a while, and visited the approved food website many times, and even started putting orders together but never checking them out, as I talked myself out of it due to the P&P charge!!

But today I took a chance and have placed an order, the temptation of such cheap food is just too much so am now eagerly waiting the arrival of my parcel...can't wait!!

I too have been going onto the site, doing an order and then thinking,no will do one next week, but urged on my all the great reviews I am finally going to 'come out' and be an approved foods customer :j

Just put another order in- I got £31.80 of shopping plus the delivery charge. As I was adding in extra packs of mini pringles to make it up to the £10 charge,so I know where to stop...:o I was wondering if that was my best value order, postage wise. I was getting lots of fruitabus too which must be light.
I like checking into this thread and seeing who is obsessing round approved food apart from me:p . Not quite sure why I like talking about it so much- I keep telling friends who glaze over, so I guess chatting with you makes me feel understood :D
  • I also kept adding on things to make it the 10 postage then took it of so i knew i was getting the most weight for that postage cost!!! Got to get your money worth!!lol... and i think i spent about the same as you...Its the drinks that add it up but at 27 cartons of orange for £1 i cant not order them!! i cant wait for my order to come i want some of the baker boys cakes!!! its good being able to beat my chocolate and sweet thing cravings without costing a fortune!!(I can blame the cravings on pregnancy cravings for now but i get them all the time anyway but just have a great excuss when im pregnant!!! :):) )
