Really cheap food...however

To be fair, I'm amazed at how amazingly cheap their delivery charges are..I mean, around a fiver for 20kg (EDIT: Actually 28kg! omg I can't believe people are moaning about "expensive" delivery!)?! That's a whole lotta food!
It might however be useful to add in a lower band for the smaller (read "lighter") orders) but I guess Dan needs to negotiate with his couriers in order to do this, which is probably pretty much bottom of his list right now!
Good luck to ya Dan et al, nice to see a small, [relatively] local company thriving!
28kg is loads of shopping. In fact... isn't it a two man lift? The box we send out is 55cm cubed

'The current situation is difficult, the British unemployment army increases sharply, except knows miserly knows thriftily, has the family to rush to purchase the price reduction expired food, eats the health to turn secondary. On-line retail merchant ApprovedFood sells expired food specially, after the financial Tsunami erupts, the member by 500 increases sharply to 5,000, the turnover are more 10 times. The customer most likes buying snatches the cup (chart), a cup original manuscript takes 83 pennies (Hong Kong dollar 9 Yuan 8 jiao), but expired cup every 12 cups also only sell 1 pound (Hong Kong dollar 11 Yuan 8 jiao). Food expert indicated that so-called “expired food” was only the best edible time, will eat up will not have the major problem. The British government also warned that the resident discarded every year amounts to 670 ten thousand tons still to be possible edible food, created the enormous waste.

ok own up!!!!!!!!!
There has to be a newpaper editor or writer etc reading this thread or even buying from Dan, to pick up on this..
lets hope that the supermarkets or Dan's suppliers dont cotton on to the lost revenue they are losing or put their prices up to Dan...( with all the newspaper coverage etc)
Dan any teasers on whats going to be added to the website over the next week or so..
also i know you can pick them up everywhere, but what about cheap toilet rolls etc, as people could order these to save carrying them home on hte bus etc...as these are bulky rather than heavy..Work to live= not live to work0 -
I think we're all victims of AF's success now. Let me explain:
There's a pallet or two of Bakin Boys cup cakes at the warehouse. You order on 10th Jan but with such a long backlog (4 days?) the Bakin Boys pallets are going down rapidly. What's the chances of there being one li'l box being there when your order comes round on 14/15th Jan? Of course that could be any product: fruit juice, diet Coke or Penguins.0 -

Can't really see how he could get these as they're hardly going to go out of date or the supermarket demands won't be so high. After all aren't we all ****ting ourselves regarding the credit crunch?
fair comment he cant get these from the supermarkets, but as Dan used to do the markets etc, he must know where/what suppliers he could get cheap bog roll from...
you are also giving me the cold sweats now.... :rotfl: what run out of baker boys cakes before my order has been picked:eek: ...oooooo flip what will i do then????? hopefully hte lemon ones will still be in stock:D ( havent tried them ones yet)Work to live= not live to work0 -
