Well it is a new week.... checked banks etc no issues or surprise windfalls

Plan for today is lunch/finish work/study/enjoy DS.
I've got to do financial plan for next month etc but will do this tomorrow. I think I have decided that I will focus on my studying until I have finished my assignments then I concentrate on selling etc for 6 months over the sunnier months until my course starts again end of sept.
Hope everyone is having an MSE day! Its sunny here! yay!!! xxDFW Nerd #11520 -
Well I am running late on my schedule today! Grr....

Yay - MBNA CC finally gone (although payment hasn't cleared their end yet but gone from me!!) woop woop!!!
Ah the small things in life. Really is a good feeling though. Will close the account in a few weeks. Need to request copy of my and OHs credit file. Will then be bulk closing everything not needed. (All cards cut up agges ago so no chance of spending!)
Goodbye 34.95% interest. Goodbye statements. Ah it is wonderful!!

Well...needed to do a little dance above!
Have updated figs for this month. See signature.... will update on 20k thread to.
Have 1 cc left with just under 1400 remaining. Looking at the snowballer will take me 4 months to pay if I just pay the budget amount.
also Have 500 OD left.
have 2 family loans and 3  bank loans remaining.
**Have decided that once CC and OD are paid will concentrate on family loans as although no interest I hate owing money to actual people IFYKWIM. and it is always in back of my mind. They haven't asked for it back though and know I am paying CC/OD first. Not only will it make me feel less guilty it will smooth family relations aswell! So I have decided to pay them first then overpay on bank loans.
**have also decided that am not going to be proactive with filling the emergency fund atm. This was to be used when we move and as I don't think it will be happening in the next few months am going to shove all money onto CC. once CC paid will then start to build it up again.
**have decided to get all coursework completed before I start ebaying etc. Studying takes up a lot of my spare time and it is always higher on to do list than selling stuff. If I can get all assignments completed in next few weeks will then be able to focus more on selling. And it will be a bit warmer....
** OH will have paid his loan of to work sometime in March (they are a bit sketchy....) so this will be another 80 every 4 weeks. NOTE this isn't included in debt as is taken before OH gets wages... loan is as a result of one of many bad decisions last year....
** I am waiting for - 45 car tax refund, 50 cashback from car insurance, 8.80cd sales, about 70 in expenses - c170.
** as I budget 4 weekly and not monthly - in May have 1 weeks OH wages as surplus which is good as MOT due then! This will be used for this. Woop woop.
Long post....DFW Nerd #11520 -
from playing with snowballer and accs - cc will be clear in June (EARLY - woop woop) OD will be clear in July. This is just based on basic budget (although it is overpaying in reality..) and doesn't include any income from sales etc...
we shall see - onwards and upwards as they say!! roll on next payment due on friday............

Other than that....all fairly quiet. bit boring really...ahh...shouldn't complain!!DFW Nerd #11520 -
Hi babyface - am reading your diary and well done on your debt busting. Good to see that they are coming down and you managed to get your £50 cashback today - great feeling isn't it?
I know what you mean about paying back family first over your bank loans, and can understand why you want to do it - and if it helps with family relations then all the better.
Keep posting as I pop in and catch up on your diary when I come to MSE (which is every day by the way)When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:0 -
Thanks TAS - nice to know somewhat out is reading. I'll try and make it exciting.
Got music magpie money today £6.37 - they made some deductions as a few of the cases were broken - they weren't when I sent them. Must have been damaged in post? I can't be bothered to argue for the sake of 1.50. bit annoyed though
wages not gone into today either  so can't spend any money even if i wanted to!!! :rotfl:
plan for rest of today is study study study. It also looks as though i'm going to fail one of my modules as my partner for one of my assignments hasn't submitted their individual part (we submitted joint part ages ago and individual part is now 2 weeks overdue) which means we both fail.  I've tried to frantically contact him etc etc but to no avail. I'm not sure where I stand as I pay my own tuition fees (his employer pays his)!!!!!!!! I have asked my tutor for advice. If I fail the module because of him then he has effectively lost me the cost of the module which is about 400 quid!!!! Will see what my tutor says. I can't be the first in this situation. If it is a choice between failing the module as a whole or accepting a carp mark, I spose I would have to take the carp mark    Anyway...I have other modules to do so have to focus on them...
weekend is fairly busy...OH going to rugby whilst I go to ILs with DS. Then OH taking DS swimming on sunday. bit of fatherly bonding time..will be nice as OH hasn't spent much time with DS lately and its annoying him. and it gives me time to study study study!DFW Nerd #11520 -
TurnaroundSue - I clearly can not type. Meant to say - nice to know that someone out there is reading!
Bank loans - on hypno's thread mentions that cant overpay on these. When I rang they said I could. Bit worried now - think I better check with barclays again. GRRRRR....DFW Nerd #11520
