This one's been on sale for a while at Kwik Save for £49.99, and they just recently (along with Somerfield) reduced it to £39.99, but I've just been in our local Kwik Save (Whitley Bay) and it's now down to £24.99.
Not a bad looking player, it's got 1GB built in memory and can be expanded with SD and I think MMC cards (cheap even just as a pen drive?). I think it's model MD 81018, there's a picture of the box on ebay but not sure if I'm allowed to link to it so just Google if you're interested.
Bubba Junior has a previous 128MB version of this which we got from Aldi a couple of years ago and he still uses it daily, well at least until tomorrow that is, when Santa brings his 5GB iRiver thanks to the Argos Board :snow_laug

Somewhat doubt it, but do you know if it can play Ogg Vorbis? Save having to reencode a load of my music if it does0

sorry to be really dense but I live in whitley bay and can't even think where the quiksave is ? If you can point me in the right direction, I will be there with my money once they re-open (that is, if there are any left !)
Thanks

Not in the town centre, it's at Whitley Lodge just off Claremont Road heading towards the Golf Course.
Or if you use the age old method of navigating/giving directions it's across the road from the Kittiwake pub!
They had two boxes on display at approx 3.00pm today. I think they reopen on Boxing Day but can't say for sure.
There's also a decent Kwik Save in Forest Hall and one on Chillingham Road I believe.
The Sommerfield next to Aldi up from the Powder Monkey pub on the outskirts of Wallsend (Battle Hill?) also had stock two days ago but at £39.99 at that time. Should be same price now though as they're part of the same group.

I am afraid to say that there are no Kwik Saves in Scotland.
They were all converted to Somerfields or closed down,
The good news is that Somerfield have got these and I got one yesterday.
They were flying out of the door !!0
