  • Has anyone noticed that the speed of data transfer is very very slow - no way is this USB2! I have tried it on 2 laptops (both of which have USB2s) and on both the transfer was very slow.

Yeah i though the same i did have a Archos before it bust and it was super quick on USB the Medion seems alot slower
  • I think it is misselling by Medion to sell this as a USB2 device.
I am certainly thinking of calling them up to complain. This is just not right, advertising the product saying 'USB2 full speed' and giving pi** poor speeds!
  • It could be that the USB interface is USB2.0 compliant and capable of full speed, but it is most likely that the flash memory inside the MP3 player is the bottleneck.

How long does it take to transfer an album of say 70Mb?

The limiting factor on transfer speeds will almost certianly be the speed of the flash memory and flash cards you use. Copy a large file or collections of files and tell us how long it took.

At £24.99.....1gig.......DOES anyone really care about speed?
  • Yes one does. I do - the bigger the capacity, the more speed comes into it, as it takes longer to fill it up.

But like i said ..under £25 its a great price. You`ll end up paying more to get faster speed.
