Don't worry abaxas, if I'm safe (which I think I am from everyone except those with the very worse eyesight), then I'll just lend my wig to Phil. After watching Dopester's video, I think he needs it more than I do.

Oh my god, Krustie has just been on Radio 1 and I quote

'Negative Equity is when you borrow more than your house is worth'

Speechless, I thought she was dumb but this.........!!

I was listening to this on the way to work this morning... The advice they were giving young would be buyers was absolutely terrifying... It is even more scary that millions of other young people would be listening to the show and some of them would take what they say as gospel!

They were basically telling one woman not to worry about paying for a house if she planned on staying there for a long time, no mention of what would happen if she lost her job before prices recovered... and pretty much not to try to hard to bargain the price down or the seller might take it off the market... Pretty bad advice all around...

I think you can listen again on Radio 1 (Chris Moyles show) if you're interested.

The way she says "In a few years we will be back to previous levels".... she doesn't say... maybe or could... she says IT will happen.

This what !!!!es me off about her... she been luckyu in past spouting this nonsense... because it came true... so much she actually believes her rubbish....

Someone should've called in and asked 'when are you eating your hat?... your recent predications have been widly off the mark.. so why should anyone listen to what you should say now?'

it's amazing how people fail to spot the conflict of interest they have. if, for instance, BP were to put out a statement saying that global warming was a myth, everyone would ignore it on the basis that they would say that, wouldn't they.

however, despite the current financial situation, as soon as those two start talking people lap it up. isn't it completely obvious to anyone that both of them have a direct vested interest in the volume of housing transactions going up, so that no importance can be attached to a word they say? they don't even have any market expertise, their job is essentially to take a list of things that a person wants, and then going around looking at what is on the market to see if it fits the bill. they are shopping list consultants, not property experts.

the advice they were giving this morning to that 20 year old who wanted to get into buy to let was pathetic and irresponsible. he was exactly the sort of person who should not get into buy to let at the moment; not only did they say that this was a fantastic idea they advised him to buy something run down and become a property developer as well. they should be ashamed of themselves.

That's the problem in the UK. The population seems to have OCD with regard to property, and just seem to lap up such TV programs.

RANT:Forgot the other thing that royally p1sses me off in the UK is the obsession with celebrity and getting your face on TV. I have no doubt that if you asked the UK population whether they would prefer to win a Nobel prize or X-factor, 95% of them would not know what a Nobel prize is. End RANT
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

I think the amount VI in the media is underestimated, only very occasionally do you get to hear the other side of the argument in the mainstream media, thank god for the internet.

The fact that these pair of clowns have been commissioned again just proves the point. I would love to see these pair up against Jonathan Davies from HPC.co.uk just for 5 minutes on say the 6 o clock news, they would be made to look the fools they are in a nanosecond.

    Unfortunately it will never happen.

It's just a show people! I happen to like it and think they're good hosts. *Prepares for flaming*

I can understand why people on this forum dislike them, but they're not to blame for HPI. LLL was a sign of the times not the cause.

HPI also occurred in Aus and the US, believe it or not without Kirsty or Phil. Such shows may have encouraged it a little but when has the media ever acted responsibly?

    That's entertainment baby! :D

Kirsty, Phil and Chris Moyles all agree, house prices will be back to where they were in TWO years!
