Perhaps they'll reverse the tactic of persuading gullible young fools to buy. Maybe they'll burst into people's homes and drag them down the auction to get three sealed bids and accept the best one they can. "Sell now, it's Armageddon time" says Phil, while Krusty does a doom and gloom piece to camera. "These places are dropping like a stone, they were so lucky to get out".

Next week - watch while couples learn how to exchange their undesirable executive flat for a bag of chips and 20 Rothmans. "At least there's no more debtor's prisons" says Krusty in a rare jokey moment.

Im amazed that there is such hatred towards these two people, surley they can't be blamed for causing HPI? For the record, I didn't even know who they were until I joined MSE.

Funnily enough, it's not their fault.

Everyone on here who bought a BTL - it's YOUR FAULT.

Everyone on here who bought with the intention of making a massive profit and not just somewhere to live - it's YOUR FAULT.

To those of you who overstretched yourselves and bought something you couldn't really afford, rather than buying the cheaper house that was big enough for you - it's YOUR FAULT.

Anyone who voted Labour - it's YOUR FAULT.

Anyone who is an Estate Agent...guess what...it's YOUR FAULT.

Anyone who does valuations for lenders...it's YOUR FAULT.

    Etc....

This could be comedy gold. It'll be a scream watching them rewrite history. There won't have been as much backtracking as this since the Italian Army in 1942

I think you are giving them way to much credit, they won't be backtracking, as they have the brains of amoebas and have no recollection of the past. Look for Phil grinning like a cheshire cat, while Krustie explains that its

    Stamp Duty
    Lack of mortgage finance
    Interest rate
Hang in there sellers, the pent up demand is huge.
    The sky is falling in
    The butterfly effect
