I received my second email on Sunday & I registered two claims (Easy Access & Easy Access ISA) immediately. The money was paid into my LTSB account today. LTSB left a message on the answering machine this morning asking me to contact them. I wonder why?
I hope all Moneysavers get their money back a.s.a.p.0 -
If they were doing it by the account balance, then could be in ranges; ie upto £35k or £50 then £50k - £100k etc. Who knows, its probably completely random
It's got to be random, got my 2nd email this afternoon, I fall into your £50k - £100k bracket.
Claim went smoothly, no problems, now very happy0 -
Just done mine, waiting for wife's. No problems so far.
Wife's arrived 2 hrs later, all done.
Anybody know if the fixed term accounts held to maturity will be paid gross interest if they were gross with Icesave? Or even if tax will be deducted from net accounts by FSCS. Not grumbling, just wondering. Very happy to have it all back in UK in the care of FSCS.This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -
So where are all you lucky winners intending to put your ISA money? Is there consensus on which is the best new ISA to transfer into?
Thanks.
I'm very surprised that no bank/bs has actively targetted Icesavers. It seems a great opportunity missed. As an example, transfer your icesave ISA to us and get a .25% bonus.0 -
wife's 2nd e-mail arrived an hour or so ago, still waiting for mine.
still able to access account details after completion of claim even though it says details will not be accessible on the site, anyone else notice this?0 -

I posted this concern after completing the claim. As already advised it will be fine. You will receive another (3rd) e-mail, mine took 20 hrs, to confirm your claim is being processed.
You did, of course, print out the separate confirmations, just in case, from Icesave website after initiating the claims?
I deleted the Icesave cookies and now can't access their website which I was still able to do before deleting them. So maybe that has something to do with it?0 -
Successfully received compensation today. Initiated tuesday, checked today and it was in, so took 3 days. Thanks FSCS.0

I have been thinking exactly this since last weekend when good fixed rates were being pulled everywhere.
It is common knowledge that thousands of savers with millions to invest are to be compensated in the second half of November so you would think some enterprising banks/bsocs who need our cash would set up special accounts with special rates just for us.
The only problem would be how to prove that the money came from Icesave
compensation but not insuperable and can any financial insitution afford to ignore a readymade customer base like us in these fraught times ?0 -
