Successful ICESAVE Claim

Second email received yesterday 11th November, processing straightforward despite having to request a new password as forgotten previous one. Proof of the pudding is seeing the funds in the bank and that ISA certificate through the post so we can re-invest. Based on performance to date in my opinion the FSCS are to be congratulated on their performance. Their website has been kept up-to-date with news of the planned process and the 'two emails' were a model of clarity as to how to process our claim.
Contrasts markedly with the performance of some of our major banks in recent months as they bid up their ISA savings rate to drag in investors and then often took several weeks to manage the situation when inundated bythe response. I was one, probably down 4-5 weeks interest on a cheque took dormant in the bank. I could of course have pursued it but has anyone tried talking to a bank lately?0 -
Congrats to you

Looks like they're sending a lot more out now. Received 2nd e-mail at 2.34pm and just completed transfer procedure.
Quite straightforward.
Icesave saver since Nov. 2006, surname "J", just over £35000 with interest added.
Fixed terms retained until maturity.
Good luck to others.0 -
This is horrible, it's bringinging back memories of standing shivering on the school playground knowing you're going to be the last one picked to play football.
Absolutely, TBH I never thought it would be like this, I keep picturing myself being the last one here not getting my email and being left all alone and concerned!0 -
Update on original post. I emailed fscs with my wife's User ID saying she had had had the second email but it was not allowing a claim. Got another email today and it was enabled. Very efficient. Well done fscs and Newcastle.0

That's interesting, I've a very similar amount to yours and joined the same year. My surname is 'M', so maybe my 2nd email is just around the corner (he said hopefully!)0 -
