Not a driver but what the hay! In America they have bumpers at the same height to allow you to do this with little damage. Here, it's different. I probably wouldn't. I might stuff a mackerel wrapped cucumber up their exhaust though.

I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...

I moved to Liverpool for a better life.
And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!

Absolutely every time I would bump them out of the way. I would also make sure I inflicted as much damage as I possibly could. Well, having an old Series 2a Land Rover would enable me to do it. If that upsets some people's sensibilities then I'm afraid tough. Anybody blocking me in simply should not do it. It has happened in the past on a work car park. I was facing a wall with about 30 or 40 spaces next to me free. Some pillock decided to park right up behind my bumper. Now, at 11 o'clock in the evening all I wanted to do was get home and get to bed. At the time I had a car that only cost me £30 so I rolled back onto the idiots bumper and then just floored the pedal. It moved it all right and surprisingly did not even scratch my car :-)

Moral: don't ever block me in!

  • If you block me in you're gonna get shunted.
All you plebs out there who have no respect for other road users beware, I will inflict damage on your prized motor.
To give you a fighting chance to avoid having your bumpers mangled - don't block in a 2001 green Golf estate with a towbar!

    Dent their car, no, never.

Do something evil such as tying a fish round their exhaust downpipe or even the extreme of rubbing dog s$!t on their doorhandles DEFINITELY!
  • I was sat in the Doctors the other day when this very very large man dashed into the waiting room looking very very red. He was dressed in his shorts and T-shirt with a sports water bottle in hand, looking like he had run a marathon.

About a minute later the nurse came out and the man commented, how well he was doing running to the surgery and had been trying really hard. Lifting up his drinks bottle to prove a point. I smiled and thought “he must be trying really hard to lose weight” I kind of felt a bit of admiration……

When I went outside to get in my car I had been blocked in by a car parking on the double yellow lines right outside the Doctor’s Surgery door. You literally could not get any closer to the door unless you parked inside the foyer! Considering there were loads of available spaces on the roadway, it was very inconsiderate.

Anyway, I went back inside and asked reception to see if I could find out whom the car belonged to, as I could not get out. Well they did not manage to do anything really and told me I just had to wait. (Which was very annoying as I had to get back to work.)

So I decided to try to get out, but I just ended up stuck. Very stuck. Very close to this other car and just plain stuck.

Anyway, about 10 minutes later after being sat there (still stuck), the same very very large man in his running attire, came out of the Doctors Surgery and started yelling at me “You better not have damaged my car!”

I won’t repeat what I yelled back, but I wished I had smashed into his car and drove off. If it was not for the fact I was so stuck, I might have just done that…..

  • Its illegal for someone to block you in but not to block you out if you can't get into your drive for instance. If anyone gets the red mist and descends into vigilantism then beware a bump out of the way without reporting (or technically stopping) could cost you 10 pts if someone were to see you and grass you up. This is regardless of how ridiculously the offending vehicle were parked and if they have a blue badge it is even worse as the authorities regard this as carte blanche for them to park anywhere they please despite restrictions of use of the blue badge (legitimately obtained or not).
  • :A Nope I dont want to damage my car

If its a public road then its an offence to block someone in, remember the highway code that most of us have forgotten (so I'd call the police and ask them to deal with it)

or I'd wait until they came back follow them home then brick up their front door in the middle of the night :D
  • Call me strange, but as much as I would want to, that just would not feel right. I have now, on 3 occassiions, been blocked in from the front and the back (and once on the side too), with about less than 3cm space at both ends. I have spent a while, going forward, going back wards, turning like mad, but have done it. I have to admit, I have spent the entire time, and subseuqnt drive swearing and cursing the **** who were to blame . But it has worked. But I do like the idea, of calling the police and getting their cars chesked, though in todays world with some of the nutters out there, maybe not the best!

I would want to and would quite approve if somebody did but I'd never actually do it myself for risk of doing damage that I would be liable for putting right. (There's no point giving them the satisfaction of getting £500 out of you!)

That said, I would try to find a sticker or something and would put it right in the middle of their windscreen so that they'd have to spend a good half hour scraping it off. No damage done and they've lost more than I have.

No way. Wouldn't know how to!
I'd sit there waiting like an idiot for a while, maybe ask shopkeepers if the parking is outside any shops and if that failed, I'd try ringing the local police to ask advice.
