Morning Everyone
Well despite the rain hail and pestilence forecast by the met office it doesnt look too bad outside today.I havent been outside to make certain but I've got that treat in a few mins with the school run
Not much planned os today as hubby is on a late and I can never get nowt done with him around. The last of sundays roast is being used up tonight in a curry.I'll serve it with rice and naans. They can have the rest of last nights jam and lemon sponges so a no bake day for me I think.

Hope the jam sponge was good.
Horrible weather here as well today, wet and wild, though it's looking alittle lighter at the moment. It started to lash it down just after ds left, so followed him down the road in the car with his umbrella. Not very OS, but at least he won't be in wet clothes all day!
got some stuff made for the freezer yesterday, chilli and bol, must try and keep up with doing batches of that for the freezer as they run out , as they are so handy to have in. Portioned in 2 and 1 servings, so we can use what is needed according to whether there is anyone missing or not.
Have a large chicken to deal with now, can't decide what to do with it really. Obviously want to make it go as far as poss.
Jacket spuds for tea tonight. Sains order to arrive before I go to work, but that is mostly taking advantage of special offers and topping up the wine rack, which was looking severely depleted."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

hugs to all who need them have a good day0 -
Not much happening in the way of OS here today. I should be at work, but the little person kept me awake most of last night. He has a cold, and at 3am his temperature was a bit high and he was demanding a cup of tea. I made him a cold drink!
I'm tired, and he is watching dvds. If we manage a nap later, I may make some Twink's hobnobs later as a thank you for my friends at work who are more concerned about my little elf being poorly than they are about covering my workload.
I have freecycled my old (and noisy beeping) freezer, and hopefully someone is coming to collect it later. Just as well as I was starting to plan what else could go in it - a bad idea, I really don't need two freezers.
It's cold and windy here today, yuk. Just as well that me and my elf are tucked up indoors. Hugs to anyone that needs them, and take care all of you.0 -
Elona,

Morning everyone. Nice day hear so far, blue sky & sunshine, but cold as well.

morning all
i feel like a stranger in here i dont know where the time goes
happy birthday pippa.S
got first load done ready to hang out (we actually have sun today:T )
annoyed with myself as ive lost my poppy ive been wearing it every day for 2 weeks (i work in a school so its important to show the kids the adults wear them and dont just except the kids to buy them when the box comes round) If it doesn't turn up by lunch time ill nip in the office and buy a new one at the start of my shift.
watched a film (spiderwick chronicles) with the kids last night and did some knitting, it wa really OS, youngest DS brought his big fleece down off his bed and we all snuggled in it on the sofa.
hope all are well, sending hugs and happy thoughts to those who need one and a :T for those with celebrations or happy news.
off to hang the washing out now before the weather changes its mind.SPC~12 ot 124

Good morning
Hester - I do hope all goes well
Mrs Mix - I hope your dd doesn't have glandular fever. I was dreadfully poorly with that. I am sure that you are taking great care of her.
The weather here is extremely blowy, which rather slows down any work on next door's roof. And the poor neighbours are stuck with a half mended roof.
The lady (term used very loosely) from three doors down has reported everyone and everything to the council, with a generic 'I want it sorted or I will go to my MP' which I can understand because I have seen working garages with fewer cars and parts of cars than are outside my house. I was just wondering, if the council are going to clear the street, could I take the opportunity to put out extra rubbish on the sly? I have decided that I am going to aim to have the house clean and clear enough for a valuation in a month - which if you could see the state of it now you would know is an active challenge. I just don't want to be unreasonable.
Evil cat is eating the medicine on her normal food so the awful cheap paste can be kept in reserve for when she is perhaps needing further medicine.
I suppose I now need to clear up my garden as well, which was a very much lesser priority given the weather.
So, after I finally drag myself away from the computer I am going to put on the breadmaker, put on the washing machine and start putting all that I can on ebay. Little bear permitting. He was showing every signs of being in desperate need of a nap, he was doing everything he could to show me just how tired he was. So I put him in his playpen for a nap, where he is happily and noisily playing.
Tea tonight is chili con charlie with home made wedges.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
We will remember them
Good morning all. Just rushing through this morning. I spoke too soon yesterday. Within 10 minutes of my post the heavens opened and it was monsoon-like here for the next 3 hours:eek: Impossible to pack the car to move DS and keep things dry, so it's all rescheduled for today. I feel fairly safe in saying it's a dry, sunny day today so much better suited.:D I'm letting them do most of the heavy lifting while I quickly use DS's laptop for a quick surf;) Shame I'm a complete novice with an apple laptop, nothing's in the right place:rotfl: I've made a hamper of HM butternut squash soup, HM bread and some fruitcake for lunch, which will be eaten at the new place. Just keeping an eye on the clock. Wherever and whatever we're doing, it will stop to observe the silence. That's the least we can do.
Best go make myself useful, hope you have good days. CM xYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Morning, brrr its cold here today.I was trying to be strict and not come on till I' d done a lot of jobs, but thought I'd just have a cuppa...
Anyway,dw nearly done,SC got ys beef in red wine for later, though dh mentioned the spicy veg soup I made yesterday,so may save the stew till 2moro and just make some rolls for the soup.
DS2 has gone to work with DH this morning, his skin is much better after all the lotions and potions,so at least I can hoover his room etc.
I want to get cracking on making more cards this aft, prob need about 20 more for our C card list yet,but I found 2 stamps during a bit of a declutter last week that i never used-think I must have got them in a sale after last C'mas.
Right teas drunk so must get on.Hugs to everybody, specially PP. x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0
