I think if you want to leave a fixed rate until maturity you can ignore the whole log-in process etc. and they'll just write to you in due course with the forms for making a paper claim. Can anyone confirm this?
Obviously cannot confirm 100% as nobody but the FSCS knows their true intentions but yes, that appears to be the case. Just wait and you should receive the same options as if you had logged on.

  • Got my 2nd e mail last Thursday evening, and my bank have just rang me to say my money will be in my account tomorrow.

I'm very happy about that, and I'm sure it wont be long before everyone else is sorted out.

I'm very pleased with the way this has been handled.

I'm sure those who have the money in the bank are happy with the way it's been handled, those still waiting without a clue on whether they get a message tomorrow or 2 weeks time may think differently.

I was one of those until last Thursday, and still had the same opinion.

This has worked much better than I ever thought it would.

my second email came on 14th and my wife's on the 19th, and were claimed promptly. The money from both claims went back into our linked accounts after 3 working days. ;-)
