2nd email received yesterday 27th and claim initiated yesterday.
Fingers still crossed. Circulation now failed. Amputation looms.
Earlier this week I completed the form on FSCS website as I wasn't at all confident my email address was recognised as that of an Icesave account holder. This afternoon a lady from FSCS rang to confirm I had been able to initiate the claim !
Well done FSCS !0 -

I was getting a little worried that my partner received his second email about a week ago and I've had nothing.
Just logged in and was able to "initiate" and claim OK, so thanks for the peeps on here recommending we try it ... worked for me :jWins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -
Compensation received this morning in response to initiating the claim last Thursday 27/11.
Thanks to everybody here who helped to keep me calm and "focussed going forward" (ugh!).
Now to let the builders loose again so the money won't be hanging around much longer which will be a relief. I think I prefer the new bedroom and kitchen to the worry of having the cash at the moment!0 -

We are having a nightmare with this. On receiving the 2nd e-mail on Tuesday my other half tried to log in but used security details for a completely different account until he realised what he had done. He therefore ended up having to first try online then by phone to get the password reset. They give him the first characters but the rest is supposed to come in an e-mail which never arrives. They don't seem to have a clue how to sort this out despite several attempts. We've checked junk mail etc. and the first two e-mails came through OK. We were told they would call back either last night or this morning but no call so far. Anyone else having these problems? Any ideas on what to try? I've got ZoneAlarm internet security and Orange broadband. All he wants to do is keep the money in until maturity!0

Further to my earlier post, I received my 2nd email last Wednesday and the money was in my account yesterday. I opened an ISA with NatWest a couple of weeks ago and the 6.6% rate I was hoping to get has now dropped to 5.07% and I was told that the 1.76% bonus offer is being withdrawn on the 10th December (I think) so if I have to wait until the end of December for the ISA certificate I'm going to miss out on the bonus. Has anyone received their certificate yet?0
