ICE SAVE - 2nd E Mail Received

The weeks since Icesave fell over have been tense and traumatic. OH and I both got the first FSCS emails on 04 Nov. Then she got her second email on 14 Nov, and retrieved her money. I had to wait until today, 27 Nov, to get my second email. I've just recovered all my funds (or at least I'm assuming the money will all reach our UK bank account within the promised 5 working days - hope I'm not tempting fate!).
What a huge relief, especially as we had just over £100k (from our house-sale) in the Icesave accounts, and back in October we were staring into the abyss.
Fair play to the Government (for whom I don't otherwise have much admiration) for the decision to back reimbursement of all our savings-deposits. And respect to the FSCS for managing a difficult process pretty well and making it a lot more swift, smooth and user-friendly than it might have been.
Now then, where to put the money we have recovered. Under the mattress, perhaps?

Hi everyone. I received my second email yesterday and initiated the claim. My first email was received on 4/11. Product was an ISA. Pretty happy with this overall. Obviously for interest reasons I'd have liked to have been one of the first to receive the second email, but I'm not complaining!
Hope everyone that is still waiting received theirs soon!0 -
:j OH initiated 2 accounts on Tuesday, only received one confirmation email, but both monies in account today, I initiated Wednesday (no second email) expect my money in account by Monday.
Just waiting on two Isa Certificates now :j
Good luck to others, hope Everyone else has been able to initiate (even if you haven't had second email)
Good LuckEverything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
The nightmare is over. Initiated Tuesday afternoon - no 2nd email no confirmations but the money is in my account today. This is the only bit I have been impressed with.
Must move it today- Lloyds will be calling me soon I think!!!0 -
Just checked my account after reading last posts and mine has arrived in my bank, also initiated Tuesday evening.0

Anybody received an isa certificate yet and if they have does it say that the isa was with icesave? The reason I ask is that isa transfer forms usually ask who the previous provider was.Does one put 'icesave' in that box or fscs?0

I'm not sure if this is the right thread to put this but.....
I've already had my second email, initiated the claim and received my money. My Husband however has got his second email but cannot initiate the claim as his password doesn't work and his account has been locked. He has rang Icesave 4 times now to reset his password. Each time he is given the 4 characters over the phone and told to wait for the remaining ones on email. They have never arrived. Each time he rings they give him a new set of characters but the email never comes. He has been told he will have to wait and claim via paper based form as they have no idea why he is not getting the email with the second half of the password. It is not spam filters as he has checked that.
So my question is: has anyone been through this?
If so did you find a way round it, find out what the problem was, have any advice?
Thanks in anticipation0 -

Fingers still crossed. Circulation now failed. Amputation looms.0 -
Received my 1st email 4th November and my 2nd email came about 4pm Wednesday 26th November :j and I initiated my claim before 5pm the same day. Money hasn't arrived in my account yet but it should hopefully be there on Monday then it will go straight into my esavings account until I receive the ISA certificate.0
