Froddy thank you, I'd never read that before, it's about right.

No worries! I have it in my planning folder in the classroom as I think it's simple yet clever at the same time, and helps to begin to explain things. I can't claim to know what it's like but I want to be able to support the parents if I can. One of the mums at our school wrote 'M's diary' when her daughter was born - several pages of laughter and tears that give such an insight into what the whole family went through (and are still going through at times). You are entitled to feel weird as you will be grieving in a way even though you were expecting it. Take care - hugs and prayers for you all x

Since I last posted: the pukey dog puked on the laminate floor, I didn't see it and slipped in it and pooped my back again, the spotty potty puppy has been unsettled all day despite having half an hours walk this morning and half an hour playing with two other puppies in the park...she's also got a small cut on her leg; my children haven't heard me tell them to get ready for bed or tidy their room despite me saying it three hundred times. Every time they come and ask me for something I calmly say 'are you ready for bed' despite them being in their school uniforms still. I will not shout, I will not shout, I will not shout!.............AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I know i shouldnt laugh.... but i did:rotfl: Hope your back is ok.

justamum Its Testament Of Youth. I watched the service at the Cenotaph. It was very moving and when the old soldier who was 112 wanted to get out of his chair and lay the wreath himself I was in tears.
I missed all the services because i was in a lecture:o Usually watch them though and it never fails to bring a lump to the throat. God bless them.

Thanks for the hugs, I didn't think it would hit me like it has, I think part of me is thinking oh no not again, when DS1 went through the whole process and was diagnosed it was appointment after appointment for 18 months, just a nightmare. Supposedly it's better now but that sour taste is still there and I am dreading the negative negative negative over and over. Anyway, shall not dwell, speaking to a speech therapist earlier (booked on a course starting tomorrow which I am quite looking forward too) she said the waiting list is quite long so might be a while before he's seen. Might get Xmas out of the way first....then it can start as I am trying to fit in studying, joys lol.
Hope you are ok, these things often hit you harder than you think in my experience, doesnt matter how prepared you think you are. Didnt realise you were still studying, how is it going?

  • evening ladies,

Nice to get in and see you all. It's been a bit busy for me, but DS2 has been less whingy, and it was nice to see my sister at my house for a change today, and i made positive steps towards getting the cat sorted today.

The trip to the vets was good. The vet gave him a thorough exam, and an antibiotic shot as he thought it was likely a bladder infection though thankfully not stones again. Next step is to see if that sorts him, and if it clears the weeing issues, then have him sedated and his fur shaved to remove the matted clumps, then we should hopefully manage him and not have him put down. I'm hoping it's not too pricey, but we'll have to see how it goes. 1st thing to laugh at me about is i have to get a cat urine sample next week, and although the cat is dopey, he knows not to use the cat litter tray when i put this stuff in - but the vet receptionist gave me some ideas to try.

I then took a bag of stuff to the charity shop that has been sitting around for a while - mainly kiddies clothes. Then i went to Somerfield and tried to sort out a couple more xmas pressies, ie. bottles of cheaper booze. The assistant refused to serve me though as i didn't have ID. That made my day as i have never been asked before ever, even when we used to go out before 18. Guess i had best start putting some ID in my purse as my sister said she has noticed at work more refusing to serve people who are obviously old enough. Oh well, can't be helped. I'll make sure i go back this week to get the special offers.

Right, i have dragged the ironing board downstairs, so i guess i should do some before updating my list for the day.

lilme sorry to hear you have been upset. Even though you expected it, you still don't want it. It's much harder when you have already been through it i'm sure as you know all the pitfalls. But then again, you won't let anything slide. I didn't realise your DS2 wasn't already diagnosed. Thinking of you.

    hello to newbies.
