Hello! :hello: I'll let you know next time I'm up to visit my Auntie (Clarence Street) and we could meet up for a Flylady :coffee:. My Dad was Warrington lad, Jackson Avenue, Bruche, and Mum lived in Orford Road. The house is now the undertakers. Mum and Dad lived with her parents when they first married.
Hex2b - I've got transferrable skills (got Business Admin 1 & 2, D32/33, NVQ 2 & 3 Health & Social Care) which the Housing Association liked, which is apparently why they want me to go for it again, which is a nice positive note.- Keep checking jobs site, especially HA
- Keep Flying - I will get there!
- Keep chipping away at the decorating, tidying, organisation
- Family will start helping when they can see how it should be (I do believe in fairies! I do believe in fairies!) And - I'm going to print off and laminate my list!

Evening everyone
Triker - in my experience planning in advance never works. Life always finds a way of diverting you off your course
Menolly - thanks - journey wasn't actually too bad - the trip there and back seemed to be in the lulls.
Gryf - I couldn't see the photos!
Pink - hugs about the job just think - you weren't meant to have THAT one because there's a much better one coming just round the corner.
Wilf - chicken soup - I just saute up a chopped onion in butter or olive oil then lob in whatever root veg I happen to have around, a bit of celery, some potatoes cut small perhaps as well then any remains of the chicken meat. Throw the chicken stock on top (having scraped off any fat first), bring it to a boil and then simmer until the veg are soft. Sometimes I add a tin of toms too and occasionally thicking with a bit of origina Bisto. Served with a hunk of bread, it's a meal in itself.
Summer - hope the plumbing gets sorted out very soon for you
AnWsMum - the joke was horrendous but the message from Toots was great - send her my love. The photos are lovely - no wonder you're a proud Mum! And how lovely Dad was looking down showing her he was proud
Natty - such sad news about your friend's sister.
Johanne - do enjoy your night out!
Welcome new people and soothing hot toddies to the sick people
Had a really strange day at work today. There's been a lot of tension in the air and all sorts of secret huddles in corners going on recently - all very unsettling. Just before lunch my team lead's boss's boss came into the office and said "could I have a word?".
Oh oh, I thought, what's occurin' here so I followed him to his office expecting to get the sack for some reason I knew nothing about. But, fortunately, it wasn't that. Seems they need some someone to work on a project at another site and my name was mentioned. The chap in charge at the other site used to work at my current site about a year ago and knows me and seemed "quite excited" (according to TL's B's Boss) about having me on board. I know the business and have the right skills etc. etc.
So, I accepted! The new site is, although closer, about the same travelling time so no hardship there, except it's not so pretty and involves driving across town. But hey. I made sure I could continue to do early start, early finish. I've also negotiated that I go in tomorrow, finish up a few bits of pieces, then have Weds, Thurs, Fri off and start at the new site on Monday. The only downside is that I don't think they allow dogs on the new site but hey - she'll have to get used to the old ways again.
I'm actually getting quite excited about it. I've had several days over the last few months where I've been seriously thinking about cutting the contract because I've felt in a rut and the working atmosphere has not been pleasant. But, a change is as good as a rest - the contract terms remain the same which is even better. So tomorrow will be my last day for a while at my current site.
Sorry - that all just blurted out - but hey it's not the sort of thing I talk to the kids about so it's nice to know you're there.
I have flown since I got home. The first thing I did was change out of my work clothes, into my painting clothes and finished the ceiling. DiL's parents have just phoned and DiL's Dad will come over and put the new light fitting up Weds. afternoon (which he can do as I'm off).
So now, I just need to get the paint brush and roller out of soak, cleaned and put away then stir fry for tea I think and put my feet up and plan what to do with my days offI am the leading lady in the movie of my life
