SarahS big hugs your way, for you and the family x
toochoosey hope the carpet and your DD is ok
Rach enjoy the lie ins while you can, when you and DH have a family ;) you'll be sleep deprived like the rest of us! Try Boots for Lego, or Argos...both deliver if required and can do weekend delivery on both I think.
Michelle I can understand what AnW'sMum is saying, but I also can understand why you would want to do it then if DP is off work mor and there to support you. I do wonder however if Charlie's shown any signs of being 'ready'? Wanting to use the toilet etc. Summer time is easier with the laundry/just pants but he's your little one and you know him best.
hex sounds like you are making fab progress, I am sure it'll be worth it when it's done, it's such a beautiful house from the outside aswell

TAG your contract of sale is with the catalogue, not the manufacturer, get in touch with consumer direct, they can send you template letters to complain etc too. https://www.saynoto0870.com usually has alternative numbers for 0845 aswell as 0870.

I am tempted to put in a complaint to the bowling alley. 12 lanes were booked, got there and they said 'you can only have 6 as there is 8 broken (they have over 20) because we need to keep the others for members of the public' so after a lot of agro they let us have 9, made me really cross as they didn't even bother to let us know. Poor woman who organised most of it got some grief off one of our members which I am a little cross about to say the least and I will mention it, there was just no need for it.

Christmas, I am so pleased I am not the only one who basically doesn't sleep xmas eve, until last year DP has always worked it too, think he's taking this year off aswell. Might try and get some wrapped this year before hand because last year I was still wrapping for relatives during xmas day, kids were poorly last xmas and it just turned into a night mare. DS1 said happy chistmas bleurgh and threw up across the landing first thing on the morning, me and DP just ended up laughing :rotfl: always something happens here.

Decided to have a little tea myself, won't be getting mine until about 9.30pm or so and have had just juice all day, so coffee and a slice of pizza :o yummy to stop me flaking out.

Tonight I need to sort the bins, I have loads to cram into recycling ones aswell as clear out means more rubbish. Uniforms need gathering. Packed lunches need making. Bags need sorting.
One day I might be more organised...........

OOh I hope they save the million pound valuation to the end..DD is watching Britannia High.
And I want to see if I've got one in MY attic (whatever it is :rotfl::rotfl:)
I knew Lil-Me would know that stuff about consumer law too... I really enjoyed that A level BTW!

Ooh that's annoying - I ETA this to tell Lil-Me that I would be complaining to the manager - and if it's a chain to the top man there, and it all went.
They had 12 lanes. You booked (and presumably paid for) 12 lanes, yet they chose NOT to honour your booking so that they could have lanes available for 'members of the public'. What are you then? Martians? Good grief what an arrogant little man (or woman) They should have let you know in good time ie as soon as possible that they had problems. I think I would ask for compensation in the form of at least a free session and complimentary drinks/shoe hire and whatever other things they charge and arm and a leg for.

Why did they think you WEREN'T members of the public BTW?

Evening everyone, managed a few hours sleep earlier with DS2 (who wet the bed  ) feeling like crap but need to get the school stuff sorted. Also need to get appointment letter ready for the morning and everything else i need to bring with me.

Kids now all in bed and hopefully sleep soon.

    SS big hugs.

Right i best get myself sorted and then hit my bed, night all.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Valli I think it'll be on near the end, it's the one filmed at The Sage, somewhere not far from me. It's an art piece IIRC from the newspaper article. Oh and that's what annoyed me the most, because we were a group of families with children with special needs maybe? They'd actually just basically already let others on them!

Johanne, usually I wouldn't have started but these lot made me.

Right, ordering food time, will sort some rubbish while waiting ......

  • I got rid of four binbags full of old clothes today, hubby has put them in the car for me and tomorrow they're going to the clothes bank. Hooray!

In not so good news, some dirty person has let their dog poo in my garden. IN MY GARDEN. Where my children play. How could they not have a) noticed or b) picked it up?!

Hi all, well the day is nearly done...

Bad bits, I found some twonk has scratched my car and snapped off the ariel thingy at the front.

OH drilled through a live cable when he was trying to get the upstand fitted.

He's ok, got a shock but nothing shorted out. He's gutted because he'll have to take all the tiling down that he's worked so hard to do.

I'm gutted because he could've died and he pretended he didn't get a shock so I didn't worry.

Anyway waiting an electrician friend to ring him back to advise. OH worried the house may burn down....that'd be Extreme Flylady.:D

Apart from that managed to get my car cleaned outside and mostly in as well. Need to sell it so need her looking her best.

Washing dried ala DD at the launderette.

And despite the fact that the girls and moi have been out all day, the house looks like a bombs hit it.

Going to plonk stuff in my new cupboards, I've thrown 2 big binbags out already of rubbish, stuff seems to breed in here.

I'm not ready to go to work, got loads to do, ho hum.:o

Good grief! Could you threaten them with Disabiilty Discrimination Act or something?
Of course you are 'members of the public'. Threaten to go to the press...
