I've done some Christmas shopping, I love this time of year, oh doesn't like it so much...oh well, I'll have to be Christmassy for the both of us.:D :xmassign: :santa2: :xmassmile what a shame. We've got everyone sorted for ideas YAY!!!! Just need to buy them now...
Just gonna take the rest of the day easy I think, might run the hoover around later but other than that not a lot going on in casa de sky city. Now MARRIED!11/09/100 -
emily, we're much closer to Durham, can see the Cathedral from the end of our street (on a clear day), my parents live between Ferryhill and Darlington, well for now anyway.
juliejim :rotfl: good point, actually you reminded me I REALLY need to go to the hairdressers
TIA!!!!! (((welcome home hugs))) it hasn't been the same without you! Good luck with the move, they sound like popular houses. Great to hear the shops going well and well done on the pass!
sammiell if you type in capitals you get the confusing capital/lower case thing going on. With DD, try the 'if it's not kept tidy you won't earn money/the right to freedom' so you turn it into a positive rather than something she is punished for, might work.....There is loads of bugs going round at the mo so might be one of them your DS has.
soappie car - check and make sure nothing stuck in the boot seal or no tears in it (was in my old car and one side used to get wet, washerhelp.co.uk as I posted for Triker is a good site, there is fixing stuff on there and buyers guides. Littlewoods extra can be good to buy electricals from if there is a decent code, I got £140 off my fridge freezer and it was £60 cheapr than Comet. Worth posting on the I wanna buy it board on here.
Survived fayre, kids came back with more junk as usual but all for a good cause.
Pleased good weather is forecast tomorrow as it looks like the shed roof has come off again (was off when we moved in so fixed it) and have banished DP from going racing tomorrow because I have booked to take the kids bowling, so hope he listens and will do that on the morning. Need to have a general clean up of the garden too, it's a mess with kids stuff still out there, grass still needs cutting but the lawnmowers still broken grrrrrr.............so think flying outside tomorrow.
DPs got to cover some of his bosses stuff as he's on holiday next week, so will make more time for me, without him wittering how long I will be etc, going to book a hairdressers appointment and get my trees done (would call them roots but they're too long to be called that now) and go see my lil buddy Matthew, possibly Tuesday....I need a cuddle!
Right, need to go put a washer load on airers and another in the wash...ttfnOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200

Afternoon all
lady-liberty I hope you get called into hospital promptly and get it sorted out.
GnB, hope LO gets better soon and comes home.
Good luck with the decorating TAG
Hope you find something nice to do tonight Johanne
Hope your back is better soon Gryfon - I get a bad back/leg but not as bad as yours sounds
Pigpen - I don't know what to start wishing for you - maybe just a quiet and peaceful few months
Anyway. Two loads of washing done (one of clothes and one of cats blankets) and the machine has been on empty for a hot wash with soda crystals and vinegar. It smells nice and fresh now!
I pulled out the dining room (kitchen diner) furniture which includes the cats baskets and I washed down the skirting boards and radiator and windowsills. Washed the plant pot containers too. Then vacuumed all the edges properly. Clean blankets in the baskets and everything put back. Doesn't really notice that I've done anything but I know it's clean
Also vacuumed the landing after DH had rubbed down some paintwork round the door frames. He put down a dustsheet but I still had to vacuum.
Otherwise, just pottered.0 -
Just been looking at some 'friends' photos on facebook.
Two parties - one this year - one two years ago.
In between I had stopped colouring my hair and gone grey. Well I was perfectly happy with it (mother went grey in her late 30s so I had grown up with it as normal) but looking at the two sets of photos was a bit of a shock:eek:
Now not sure what to do. I can't afford salon prices and never sure how to choose right colour.
OK it's trivial, but who else am I going to share with if not you lot?0 -
Off for HHC - see you in half hour!

Yep trainer flap is the correct term
regret to report I still have trainer flap  but I refuse to pay a fortune for trainers and any time I have seen any I consider the 'right' price they either didn't feel comfy or they didn't have my size.
Trainer flap ????????????
Pls explain0
