In truth I DO need a rewire and an up-to-date fuse box. Shame I'm skint :rotfl: hey AnWsMum - need an electrician? Mind you, I never asked if he was any GOOD!

Didn't you see my very own thread? It's in Discount Voucher and Codes...I didn't put it there though! It's my very first thread***proud glow*** over 2000 views.

lol I used to have my very own electrician all for free ;) but he morphed into a pc and is now otherwise disposed sitting on a cloud all day playing Quo and watching us!!! So indeed I will keep yours in mind ;)

I shall go and have a nosy at your shiny thread :D

Off to Morrissons now so will catch up with you later.

Toochoosey - sounds like she likes the same sorts of things as my DD. I've bought her HM bedding, HM diary, HSM tattoo studio - all from Home Bargains - worth checking out if you've got one near you. I'll have a think a bit later - gotta go now.

We have a tradition (started by git1 AKA exOH1 not the father of my children) where we give the littleys 'new' money at new year ie recently issued shiny money so it evolved into that for the littleys and a £1 scratchcard which mum buys for the adults. We also get them at Easter.
So Git1 was good for something.

I got scratch cards for everyone who was at mum's last Christmas, everyone chose at random. 5 kids 5 adults and three of the kids won!!

  • DS did this with ours - I know this sounds silly, but just by the front wheels is a round thing for flat floors or carpets - it may be on flat floors where the brushes don't spin, in which case turn it round and the brushes should start spinning again... HTH

I thought it was the washing machine? Did I miss something?

I've done my top cupboards, my cooker, more washing and drying, lingonbrot rolls, white rolls, banana bread, raspberry and white choc muffins.

DH has done the tip trip :T , removed the dining room radiator and is washing down the walls ready for painting.

Had one lot of visitors. They'd been away and wanted to see me to make sure I was getting better. ;) Waiting for DS's former tutor to come and complete some paperwork to get Welsh funding for 3 AYME workshops. Work colleague also coming to pick up some more stuff, and DB called to see if I was feeling better. It's nice to be popular.

I've been in that for about two years now...I knew I had joined up when I took a pair of school trousers from the sales girl (who had folded them to HER satisfaction) and refolded them to MY satisfaction.

Just put the washing machine on a quick cycle with nothing it - the drum just doesn't want to go round at all. Hey ho. Think I might just nip down the nearby retail park and see what deals they have on.

    Update on 'MIssion Makeover Madness'-

We appear to be on schedule:D
One wall has been whited twice, the other once. And two walls have been pinked once.

So second coats to go on. Then I'm going to Bissell the carpet. Hopefully it should bring it up like new, usually does a good job. Leaves the carpets quite dry as well.

Fingers crossed once that's done we can do the glossing later this evening;)

Just going to have some lunch
    :T :T :T :T :T

Just had a look on the Bissell site.
They have a reconditioned machine for only £34.95 which I suspect is less than hiring a machine would be.
So would count as money saving :o

Got off to a FLYing start (har har) kids room all done, knackered, but still have more stuff to do.

    Today I must...

Sort out washing in master bedroom (pile is huge)
Tidy out cupboard under the stairs (will take ages to just find the cupboard)
    Tidy stairs (gulp)
Bully DH into moving ruddy industrial microwave sitting in my kitchen (should try and get a door for that too) to the hut. (wonder if I can sell it on eBay)
Get magnetix from under the sofas.
Load car with bags of rubbish (5 from just the kids room!)

Just had a wholemeal roll to stave off the shakes and a pint of diluting juice and a tidy of the living room.

OK back to it!!! Clothes or cupboard first??
