Pigpen - Does the weekend list mean you're currently compiling the list? I found last year's list out this morning and was thinking about starting to write them.

  • Good morning ladies. Congratulations Pigpen.
My day got off to a disappointing start. Instead of being home from work by 9am, as planned, Mr CS didn't get home until almost 11.30 so we have cancelled our planned trip to the seaside. We were going to take the dogs for a run on the beach and have fish & chips. Instead we are going to resume the search for the missing ring.
Working on the assumption that the ring must be in the house somewhere, unless it has been hoovered up or gone out through the washing machine, Mr CS is still optimistic that we will find it by methodical searching. I, on the otherhand, have almost resigned myself to the never seeing it again. But I'm grateful for the help with cleaning and sorting drawers out while we look for it.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in. :D

I phoned DD and she wants two walls pink and two white.

So I though Mr Tag and I could do a wall each of said colours at the same time. Cuts down overall the time to do the room doesn't it.;)
Mr Tag's brain does not equate such time saving techniques:rolleyes:

Now Tag, you know men can't multi-task.... time saving to them means popping into the pub on the way home to save time going home first then back...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh Matthew update, you know that baby that was probably going to be behind, possibly brain damaged etc, well he's just had his HV check, he's now walking (was 1 last month) and is well above average for development so far. Stubborness is what's got him through I reckon because he does what he wants when he wants! Wouldn't have thought it after the hell he put his parents through this time last year. Thought I would have a brag and update you all anyway :D (For those who don't know my friends little boy, my honourary nephew, was fighting for his life following complications when he was born with his heart basically back to front last year, positive flylady vibes helped him through)

    Woohoo that's fantastic news lil_me :D

I will say, I did not tell him off... I hugged him until he stopped sobbing.. I asked him what happened and we discussed what to do if something like that happens again.. and we concluded punching her in the face was not ideal but she should have stood still so he could punch her in the arm! :p Then we went shopping for bits for the kitten... and he hugged his bunny.

Brilliant :) exactly what I would have done. I wouldn't do the apology letter either if his parents are 'that' type. Let's hope the girl and her mates have learnt a valuable lesson.

Bum. The filter was beautifully clear. But, it's not spinning - just humming at me as it thinks about it. This is a tragedy!

DS did this with ours - I know this sounds silly, but just by the front wheels is a round thing for flat floors or carpets - it may be on flat floors where the brushes don't spin, in which case turn it round and the brushes should start spinning again... HTH

Thanks. Will do. Have only been asked to join today but as an ex lab tech already know about some of the nasties...apparently there is one in Sheffield running under capacity so this stuff could go there. There are also transport issues - a one hour survey carried out mid morning during the school holidays found the road suitable. A survey carried out at 8am on a school day would have told a FAR different story...

Good luck with the washer. I recently bought a large capacity one (8kg) which is brilliant as I can wash more BUT takes 3 hours to do a 40deg load. Some of the shorter progs are NOT good if you have a DS like mine...
