Gosh you lot are good when you need a sit down and a rest - my OH always gets "manflu" but I think I'm giving him a run for his money with this one - only mine's real
Good to see lots of flying going on today - hope everyone's having a good 'un
No flying done this afternoon other than washing dishes and clearing up after lunch. Went shopping - bought 8 Pillows from M&S (2 for £5) as the old ones were bllleeuuuurrrgggghhh - can't think when I last replaced them
Have also bought myself an ironing basket - my grand plan is that I am not allowed any more ironing than will fit in it - will this motivate me to get and keep my ironing under control? What do you think guys?
Am of to do HHI no2 Catch you later0 -
serena - wow! What a match for DS2 to see!
craftyscholar - I do my hair at home - it's fairly easy. I use a plum shade but I do have very dark brown hair (mostly!!)
soappie - am feeling very fortunate (but also a bit worried I may have to buy one soon!) as I have had my washing machine for almost 10 years and it hasn't needed anything doing to it ** crosses everything possible as something's bound to happen now I've said that **
Ok, I am going to do [strike]the [/strike][strike]some [/strike] *a small percentage of* pile of ironing now!!

Fallen to sleep yet again, it is so unlike me.
Sorting out what to cook tonight, OH cannot decide what he wants, so he is likely to get what he is served.

had some sad news, BIL just informed us their two little dogs got loose from their caravan last night and have been killed on the main road
I wasnt a fan of the dogs but hate to think that the poor things have been killed and nephew(11) and nieces (6 & 8) must be devastated
Ironically they only got the puppies this year to eventually "replace" their other dog who is very old (15ish), but who has now outlived them although probably not for long as he is very poorly... Suppose only good thing is it happened at night so the kids didnt chase after them... that doesnt even bare thinking about............0 -
Right managed to get a few things done today that have been outstanding. OH still busy fitting sink and having allsorts of trouble.
Anyway I've posted a letter and parcel.
Stocked up on coal and kindling.
Cleaned out and rearranged my chicken pen, given them fresh straw and sawdust and they are so happy. I think they like the company and I feel very satisfied that I got this mucky job done.
Ugh though, don't read if you don't like slugs, moved some of their box things that I stand their food on and ugh ugh ugh full of slugs, yack, ugh, hate em passionately. Anyway salted them and they turned a bright green before they died a horrible death. Ugh.
Then decided to sweep the chimney as it has needed doing for ages and I always get a bit worried in case the chimney ever goes up.
Hoovered messy areas up again.
About to head to lidl and get some bits and pieces for tea.
Catch you later. xx:DDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Triker
I thought hens would eat worms...will they not eat slugs?
Mind you...I thought chimneys went up...the ones round here do - except for the old glassworks one they demolished last summer...came down with a bang :rotfl:
Is it wine o'clock yet? Can't be fluffed to go out...how sad.
Jo - shame about the pups. Bet the driver felt awful too. I very nearly knocked a black doggie down the other night - I covered my brakes as there were adult pedestrians and it just felt 'odd' when a black dog I could not see in the dark shot in front of the car. Clearly belonged to the pedestrians as the lady covered her eyes (a fat lot of good that would have been) and the dog crossed unscathed - just. Why I did not wind down my window and get an apology from them (and their undying gratitude which I clearly deserved having missed the dog) I don't know...shaken, I suppose. Why the fluff it wasn't on a lead I will never know.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

*shudder* I am really afraid of slugs, won't go out if there is one on the step.
Stairs cleared and cupboard under the stairs done finally!:j
Dinner is on, skinny chips as per DS1 request with chicken.
Still to do...
Have dinner
do dishes
kids to bed
rubbish out to car
sort through clean clothes
relax in bath with book
bully DH to take that microwave to the hut (it's an industrial one far too heavy for me to lift and I'm not being a nancy, honest)0
