  • Sorry there are still so many unwell. Let's hope that it will all be clear before Christmas so we can enjoy the season, however we spend it. BTW - when is Christmas? I haven't started yet!:rotfl::eek:

Pigpen - how did it go at school? Also, I get what you said about swearing and upbringing, but in her case, it's true. You don't know her mother!

ower - I rarely seem to get what they call "classic" migraine with visual disturbances, nausea etc but I had my diagnosis at The Middlesex Hospital by Professor Jonathon Brostoff, so I think he was right. Anyway, I hope you are feeling better now, migraine or not.

I picked DS up from work experience earlier and the proprietor asked me if I was up for any more puppy fostering. She told me that Torfaen has an 8 day policy, if a dog is not claimed/rehomed - it's PTS, regardless of how healthy/young it is, so guess who has signed up with another rescue organisation? Unfortunately, I already knew they stand to be inundated around Christmas as always. I'd also heard that some people are surrendering pets due to the credit crunch. I said I'd just eat less meat and more bread.

I feel some knitting coming on, with my feet up, watching Children in Need! DH cooking and he can pick up DS, so I can go and wallow later.

    aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh

Just popped back for a 10 minute break. Couldn't stand any more of the chatter of the 2 mum's behind me going on about how many activities their kids did, how busy they were, how brilliant they are - get a life!

Sorry but with all that is going on in the world surely there are other things to chat about.

Right need to get DS2 ready to swop with DS3 now. Did sew the sock labels on whilst I was there.

School I did my classic smile nod then change the subject!

DS3 said him and this girl ran to get in the dinner line and he just pipped her to be first so she started shoving him then her 2 friends joined in and were pulling his hair (God knows how I cut him a number 2 at the weekend!) and one pulled his collar so it was tight on his throat, which he hates and really distresses him.. so he walked off crying.. so the girl who initially started shoving him laughed because he was crying and she was first in the queue so he ran over to hit her arm and she moved and he belted her straight in the face..

My initial reaction was... Well I'd have punched her too!!! (oops!!)

So basically it was a playground scuffle in which someone was accidentally injured, he was so upset he would never have done it if they hadn't ganged up on him.. but what is really sad is last week at parents evening we were discussing how much better his behaviour has been the last few months then days later he does this.. BUT.. he has aspergers, very mild granted but he is prone to these outbursts etc and the staff are aware yet don't intervene when things like this happen.

I've stropped at my mother.. not AT her but at her about other people/things etc. I stropped at hubby.. well.. for the 45 minutes he was here before he went out again leaving me to put the children to bed.. he is going to get a big shock when he comes in saying he wants to go out and I say no I'm off to bed! And.. I stropped at the children for not doing as they were told.. and I stropped at the teeny cat for leaping up my lace curtains!!

Dusty :rotfl: I know someone like that, if it's not her sons the next Nick Faldo it's how great his school work is..........truth is the kids a spoilt babied brat! :rotfl: Bloomin' annoying, not saying I mind people chatting about their kids and celebrating their success but not every minute you speak to them, she's worse when she's had a drink if that's possible.

DS1s school Xmas fayre tomorrow, just me or is it a bit early for a Christmas fayre? I like them to be in December, anyway hoping DP will come with me to it. 2 boys in a cramped school hall doesn't bring thoughts of joy....being at a special school there is a bit more understanding if your child just wanders up to stalls and helps themselves etc but still, stressful, have a go on this buy that, I don't mind supporting but I don't do crowds well.

DP just had Pudsey Bear in his taxi :rotfl:

Pigpen, she'd have got one off me too, so basically the little wench deserved it but expected not to be hit because she's a girl? Tough! She'll not wind him up again will she?
I know that seems harsh but have had similar issues with a boy laying punches into my DS2 all the time, who is usually quiet but eventually snapped and the mother of this child felt it appropriate to ask for my son to be excluded, not a chance. Bullies get what they deserve eventually. Needless to say the brat kept away from DS2 after that.
One day I might be more organised...........

  • Pigpen - I knew he'd been provoked.:D The little runt got what she deserved. She and her crew will stay away from him in future if they've got any sense.

Lady Liberty - not sure why, but you seem to need hugs today, so sending some your way, as you can never have enough... Best wishes

Actually I'd beg to differ (cos I'm an argumentative so and so :p ) .. I swear like a trooper, ordinarily, and other than DS1 (who is a total degenerate!) mine do not and never have used expletives.. I simply will not stand for it.. there is a time and a place and part of being mature enough to use such words is when they know when it is and is not acceptable! It isn't down to upbringing it is down to knowing wrong from right and maturity.
Same here - living where we have had to over the past few years has made me a bit of a washer woman (became a case of if you can't beat them, join them!...) and it's not how you're brought up, but how you are taught respect - I NEVER swear in front of my mum even now, coz she has big hands and would slap me and my DS & DD would never swear in front of me because they know not to (even thought I know they do outside with their friends...), it's just something I don't do in front of people I know it would offend...

AAAAWWWWWW!!!! SO cute - how does she get on with your other manic kitty??? Hugs about not being able to go to the funeral - I hope it went as well as these things possibly can do for your DH...
How did it go with DS3? I think you may need to start taking Yoga or something to help with your blood pressure soon...:D If nothing else it will get you away from everything...
Just caught up and seen why he hit her - I would have done too, plus, I feel(and being female I am allowed to say this) that if a girl is able to dish it out then she needs to learn to accept the consequences... We have some right B!tches here who think they can punch and hit boys and nothing will happen to them - wrong!

Ohh, and only 6 more posts to go to 10,000 - are you going to do it tonight or leave us in suspenders????

SarahS - hugs to your DD - hope she feels a bit better now...

Griffin - take care of your back, gentle exercise does not include bending, just gentle stretches - reaching for a cup for tea, but slowly is ideal - and rest is good but only in short bursts so that you don't seize up... and I agree with Cardiff in that Ibuprofen would be good for reducing inflammation if you have it as well as pain relief rather than the cocodamol - but speak to a doctor or pharmacist first...

Soappie, your oven sounds clean and sparkly now - what's oven pride???

Thanks for the hugs Lil_Me, feeling much better now... (just a dull ache IYKWIM)

Right, am off to finish those bits I wanted to do before sitting down infront of the TV... see you all later...
