Thanks Flower and everyone who's told me what they do with their sicky ones. She's had some toast, and some more squash, as she hasn't been sick since 3pm. Fingers crossed for me tonight please. I could really do with a good night's sleep.
Lots of hugs, kisses and gratitude that I'm amongst such lovely people.
See you all tomorrow.

Evening all, hope you're all having a good one.
I have been flying the last day or two but haven't got round to posting. Just wanted to pop in with hugs to Lady-Liberty - be good to yourself tonight, I hope they get you sorted out as soon as possible.

i know there is prob another thread for this but i know a few of you have got littlies and was wondering what to buy DD (6 a week after chrimbo), i have got an MP3 player(£5), digital camera(£10), a couple of DVD's, bindeez pen, now i know this probably seems enough? but some of it usually gets sold to DSD for her to give and then the remainder is split into 2 and the 2nd half is for birthday, so what else?0

Right, if I sit on the sofa watching Children In Need whilst cross stitching a Christmas card, I can knock a couple of things off my list"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Evening all
:D Finally got the 'net back on - apparently it was Orange Broadband that was out  I know I could go with cheaper, but I'm hoping to move soon so don't want to start swapping things around
Anyways, I've been lost without here :rotfl: I have been busy though as I've been on a paediatric first aid course with a fireman:D:D
;);) I loved it as the course was made fun, there was 9 of us "girls" and just the one bloke so he got some stick, but by the end of the day he'd given one of the tutors his number
:rotfl::rotfl: I really thought it was going to be as boring as hell since it was about the 4th one I've done, which apparently showed. I answered all the questions, did the practical practice right first time and when I did my assessment (CPR on a child & a baby, then putting him into the recovery position) I automatically did extras which he hadn't done with us. His response was "Wow, excellent. Can tell you're a proper first aider"
:D:D Not bad since its 10years since my last course.
Right, DD is away until Sunday so so far today flying wise I've- stripped DD's bed (well she did, I helped take the quilt cover off)
- stripped & changed my bed
- Packed DD's bag
- Finally sourced some dettol mould & mildew spray (Wilkos :j )
- Fed DD
- WM x 4 (1 this morning before I went out
)
- Tidied Livingroom & bedrooms
- Supervised & explained DD's homework
- Made a card with DD for ex's sister who is 21 on Sunday (and why they're away)
- WM x another 2 at least
- TD what I can
- Iron (depending on when I get fed up and go to bed)
- Washing up
- Hoover through
- Dust through
- NVQ work
- Block 2 for my OU course
- Watch the match Saturday 12.45 kick off apparently? So I'm off to the pub

Only that you posted last night saying you thought I was off to bed (cos I'd said I was a few minutes earlier!!). I must have just missed it as it was the first post I read when I logged on tonight!!"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Plus, the store was, again, at almost siberian like temperatures for no apparent reason. It was, actually, warmer outside than in.
Here is a letter I sent to M&S in the summer re the same problem - they never did reply.
I am interested in your Plan A and how it is going. I see that I can visit your website and use your calculator to assess my carbon footprint. That is all well and good but as I see it I am already doing a lot more than yourselves concerning my footprint.
I visited your London Colney store this week. It was a regular british summer day, sunshine, showers about 18 degrees. I was dressed accordingly in a skirt, T shirt and cardigan (none from your range I must admit as it is dire this summer but that is another subject). I went into your food hall to have a look around and it was freezing, I am talking shiveringly cold. The design of your chillers pumping cold air into the atmosphere is quite ridiculous. How can this possibly be going green? You must use more electricity in that part of the store in a day than we do at home in an entire year. Apart from the complete waste of power it made for a very uncomfortable environment and thus I was too cold to browse around and left.
I’d be interested to hear your views on this subject. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
