    Normally Malwarebytes is sufficient as you say - there must be something blocking it

  • Thanks Browntoa, I followed the instructions on another post on here, I can get as far as telling it to remove the selected items. It begins to do it, and then just freezes and won't continue.
    I managed to do it fine on the desktop computer, but it just won't play ball on the laptop.
    I'm wondering if the spyware may be preventing it?

    It looks that way, and it froze.

    I have seen this before on machines that have other infections present

    About 15 minutes now. The other anti-virus' are turned off, firewall's off. Will it do any harm if I re-start and try it again?

    That's still not working either. I'm trying to get the Combofix to work, and then try to run malwarebytes again.

    now she has diabled in Sytem Utilites.. the ambilical cord has been broken.. Malwaye bytes shouls remove the infection..
