Well about bl00dy time Miss O!! :rotfl:
Well done on the running - I really really want a treadmill but OH says no as nowhere to put it and I suppose it's not very MSE......I have been to the gym today to do speed work and I suppose it makes me go outside to do the proper running?
Annoying about Tescos, usually they are quote good about these things and they can see you've bought them
We bought a bottle of Vodka and when it was delivered it was cracked, they just gave it us and knocked it off our bill and we poured it into another bottle :j

Hi MissO :hello:
Just read your whole diary and loved it! You certainly live up to your username.
Hope everything is working out for you living closer to home, a good network of family and friends can't be underestimated.
Sorry to hear that your business didn't work out, but by the sounds of your OH, you'll have another bash. Most of the rich people I know of, have failed several times before they made it - so never give up!

2 subscribers - Ooh this may well go to my head!
OH has just rung me to say he is about 20 yards away from the house (he set off 45 mins ago) so he is giving it up as a bad job and coming home with the kids (his exact words were 'sod school'!) He has gone back out though to help push the queue of about 50 cars up the hill and off the estate though.
I really do need to find my focus today - I have quite a few things I could list on ebay and I want to look at other ideas too - MacGirl if you're there, any advice on Bingo?
I do the free scratchies on the Butlins one but only ever get 10p per day, are there any other sites that do them? - Looks like the britain site is still offering the £5 a day bonus but the minimum withdrawal is £50 - there always seems to be a catch...
I also like to run outdoors, but there is no chance here at the moment its sheer ice - how are you managing it? Think I will stick to the treadmill for the timebeing, I'm not very steady on my feet at the best of times.
Macgirl - I am very much like you, I have not been running very long, and I still find it very hard, I am certainly not a natural - the GNR last year was my first 'event' and although I questioned whether I was really sane at the 6 mile mark - I loved the feeling I felt when I finished, I would love to do it again one day and hopefully beat my time.
Bye for now :hello:Emergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0 -
Slowly getting there this morning. So far I have
- Spent £3 on bingo tickets out of free scratchy winnings and won .......£3 - Oh well, It could have been worse
- Taken down the 20 balloons that were adorning our conservatory for the joint birthday party me and OH had on Saturday
- Cleaned all kitchen worktops, hob, emptied and re-loaded dishwasher
- taken towels off radiators (they are all stiff now but trying to be MSE by not using the tumbler)
- stripped our bed and put all whites in washer
Jobs for this afternoon are:-- look through books etc and dig out some to put on amazon
- Look through shop stock in garage to see what else I can photograph and put in my ebay shop
- Do some Ironing (yawn)
OH has just had some (possibly) good news - He went for an interview at the beginning of December and never heard anything, only they have just rung and want him to go back on Wednesday....this would be great news as OH has found it near impossible to find employment, he spent 10 years in the police force, followed by 10 years working for himself, for some reason a lot of people don't want to employ an ex-copper and even more people don't want to employ someone who has worked for themselves for the past 10 years - Hope it comes to something!Emergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0 -
:bdaycake: Belated Happy Birthday for Saturday! Here's a calorie free cake to celebrate :bdaycake:
With regards bingo, the rules seem to have been relaxed again there, I'll PM you.
Have you checked out Turn £100 into £10,000 by December 2010? You might be well suited to it with your buying and selling background.
You should have a read for motivation if nothing else. Bing0 the OP, is very inspiring and there are loads of good posts on there.
Fingers, toes and eyes crossed for OH - you're due some luck I think

Hi everyone :hello:
Macgirl - Thank you very much for the birthday cake - 36 this year!
Was it lucky birthday cake by any chance? because the postman has just called (and I mean just at 4pm!) and there were two bits of lucky post
the first was a cheque for £19.00 for the mobile phone I recycled before christmas and the second was a job interview!!:j
I currently work two days a week for my MIL but this job is 3 days a week and right up my street! - I have applied for a few jobs recently and not heard anything, probably because of my patchy CV - but for both me and OH to get job interviews on the same day is pretty amazing.
Secondly... (pauses to polish halo:rolleyes:) I have also done most of the jobs I intended to do today, including listing about £200 worth of ex shop stock onto Ebay and listing about 10 books on amazon. The only thing that I haven't gotten round to is the ironing, but hey-ho you can't win them all!!Emergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0 -
The only downer to today, will be telling OH about the interview, he doesn't really want me to get a job (daft really considering our dire financial position) but we have worked together for the past few years and are used to being together more or less 24/7 - Will just have to convince him that this will be a good thing to start off the year and decade (crikey, sounds like Im counting my chickens already doesn't it!)Emergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0

WhoooHooo!!! Good for you, your luck is changing - must have been the lucky birthday cake
(I'd have a slice but I'm on a diet :A)
Really hope you both get lucky with the interviews.
Well done on all your jobs today, that should see more cash rolling in :T0 -

Yes, that must be difficult, but sometimes change is good and as you say, you could really do with the money. It is difficult when you are both working and have a young family, but if you both got jobs, things could change for you really quickly - everything happens for a reason.......:)0 -
That's brilliant news :j:j Will keep my fingers crossed for you both on Wednesday!
You're very productive getting stuff on Amazon, I really really need to sort myself out but this week has left me wiped out - far too much time with the kids me thinks!1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j
