Well done Miss O, it's great that you feel you did well. Like you say, if you don't get it at least you won't feel like you didn't give it your best shot. With the current climate there are going to be lots of people for every job so keep looking. You never know, they may phone you later.
Hope you have a great weekend with your sister and let yourself have a break from thinking about the debts. They will still be here Monday so have some fun. :T

Well, they have just rung me and offered me the job - I start a week on Monday - just need to get into the right frame of mind now, which will help with my sis being here as she is quite career orientated.
This is also officially, the best paid job I have ever landed (£17k a year, although it will be pro rata'd as it is not quite full time) still - not bad to say I haven't worked for the past 4 years.
Just hope OH comes round to the ideaEmergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0 -
Wow, you must have really impressed them! Well done to you. You must be thrilled. Your OH will probably just miss you from the shop but I am sure he will realise that practically it is the best thing to do to pay the mortgage etc.
Hope you have a lovely weekend with your sis!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Just wanted to say congratulations on the job - well done.
Its sounds like it was a hard but pratical decision for the family and I am sure it will work out for you. Looking forward to that first payday and a regular income.
Sometimes its hard having to make difficult choices. I know I've just increased my hours now by youngest has gone to school. Part of me wishes I didn't have to so that I could take the boys to school a couple of mornings a week instead of just one but its a balance and the extra income will make such a difference with the debt bustng.
I'm sure the new job will be great for you and the family and open up all sorts of new opportunities.

Thanks workinghard - I think that is what I need to do - focus on the positive and not think too much about all the negatives - It will be really hard leaving DD - She comes to work with me everyday at the moment and we haven't been apart except for one day when I had to go into hospital for an op - also, she absolutely loves her Wednesdays when we go to mum and tots together and that will have to stop now, there is another one I can take her to on a Tuesday which will be my day off - just feel guilty about it all, but need to stop dwelling on it.
Right, now for a list of things I need to organise before next Monday- Ring Accountant and get P45 so I can give it to my new employers
- Buy a lunch box
- sort travel - decide whether train or bus will be best and most cost/time effective
- Iron smart work trousers which have been lurking at bottom of ironing basket for past 3 months!
- Try and clear ironing basket before start new job
- Read up on 'eating for energy' and try and fit some excersise in this week to help me sleep better
I sold a few bits on ebay yesterday amounting to about £30 and have an item ending today which I hope will sell for about £20 - so will transfer that across from paypal providing its over £50 and pay that off a card.
Also have about £20 in play, but am waiting because I think they will be refunding me some fees.
Having a good time with my sis - pizza hut was good (and she paid) but treated her to fish and chips in a nice place at the coast yesterdayEmergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0
