I think the eye brightening stuff is great actually, for 50p. I don't know if it works, but it feels like it does, which is the main point with most of this stuff i suppose.

Does this stuff have colour in it. As I am sure I tried that and I once rubbed my eyes and found a load of pink stuff come off on my hands. Took me for ever to work out that it was the cream and it had light diffusing particles in.

waiting for a replacement card myself. Thought I'd lost it...so called them to report it and to order a new one.....a little while later the darn thing turns up. I called them back up again, but once the card is cancelled...that's it. So I'll just have to be patient too.

I'm sure it does- it has a list of ingredients that takes up the whole side of the box. It is a pinky colour and kind of shiny.
  • My name is FF and I am addicted to going to boots everyday and buying TD stuff !! :rotfl:

Since hubby has been off this week we have been shopping oh let me think..erm every day :D and i have even got him to buy the TD stuff. I let him work his charm on the SA and so far he has no problems, getting 2 or 3 products in one go. These arent all for me though as i am going to be making up gift baskets for my mum & mum-in-law.

Got a load of gifts from the Grimsby store when they started their 75% sale so i think i have got just about all the birthdays/xmas covered :D . Going away for the weekend and thought i might pop into boots on the way but wondered if anyone had been to Leeds - White Rose Centre & Trafford Centre ?? i have a few vouchers so want to know if they have any TD stuff in especially Toner ? and are the SA nice or little hitler's ? the sa around here have been lovely and loads of leaflets around.
    Brendan's new dance partner...please :D
  • I had a terrible day today in the Wakefield Boots store.

Loads of vouchers available so I pocketed 10 ( left about 30) and the shelves were stocked up so I could take my pick.

Had ten items but thought it would be safer to do it in two sets of five.

I also had four of the aromatherapy candles, first time I've seen them (thanks to op) and four vouchers for them also.

Got to the till and the woman who has served me many times before and has always been so nice was horrible!

She seemed confused and thought I could only have one per person but told her, its one per transaction and could she put them through seperately.

She didn't like it one bit and put the four candles through and was amazed when they came up as free (sticker price £1.49 but actual 74p). She kept asking her colleague if it was okay to carry on as (in her words) SHES GOT A BASKETFUL HERE! I didn't actually, I only had 5 TDs to put through and some nuts.

I was so embarrassed, a queue a mile long behind me, I felt like a real criminal, she kept saying this can't be right, you can't have all these for free etc etc ( floor open up, I wish!)

Then she tried the TD voucher and it came up void, she said, its because you have GOT SO MANY! it won't let you have any more!

She also kept apologising to the woman behind me which made me feel even worse. I wasn't holding anyone up really, it was the sa herself, questioning every item she put through.

I was mortified and said never mind, I'll just take the ones you have already done , I had a feeling she wanted to take them back off me!

Didn't realise til I was away from her till that she probably didn't remove my card and tried to put through two vouchers in one transaction.

Hubby was waiting nearby with the other 5 TD but I was by now paranoid and almost in tears. I was sure they were watching me on the cctv, so I didn't dare to try it at another till.

We dumped the basket and I went home, very upset.

I feel an email to Boots coming on, but also am a bit scared to write one as I have had about 20 Td items in total, and most have already gone through my card.

Email or write a letter to either the store or customer services. You have done nothing wrong as the voucher clearly states one per transaction.

I just hand over one TD pack of wipes and a voucher, and then go back and pick up another pack and go to another till. I did that 4 times yesterday. Today, I only got the one pack, but will probably go back later for some more. I also got the large botanical candle reduced from £20 to £5. There were 3 boxes of these just sitting in the aisle waiting to be put on the shelves. I reckon that over the next few days more and more items are going to start appearing on the shelves at either 70% or 75% off the original price.

I know that Trevor Sorbie is on 2 for £7 at the moment. Has anyone tried putting 2 of the reduced gift sets through. If so, do you get 2 for £7 or do they still go through at £7 each.

Why don't you just ring them and say you'd rather not give your name etc but tell them what a horrible experience you had & in which store & how very upset you are - it might just prompt them to call the store or send a memo!
