  • MrsBluebear - I don't know how you are staying sane! I've never heard of such a dreadful c*** up! I cannot see why CS can't refund your money to Paypal, and I think it's atrocious that they haven't.

For what it's worth, I'd recommend asking CS the name of their Managing Director. Then I would write to him, detailing the whole miserable saga, making sure that you put lots of paragraphs in, cos it's easier to read that way.

Make sure you keep a copy. Tell him exactly what you've told us - ie, that you're overdrawn because of this error, that you had to make a special trip to get a refund, and not on the method by which you paid, that you've incurred a huge telephone bill (I can't find an 0800 number for CS, can anyone else?), etc, etc.

I wish you lived nearby, cos I'd give you a huge hug, and wipe your poor, fevered brow with a nice damp flannel!

    Good Luck
    xx

Just been having a think.......(now my brain hurts!) would the bluey work on anything that on .com is in the 'free fibresure wyb selected healthcare' offer? Cos I've noticed that all the brands mentioned on the bluey are in that offer, as well as the georgeous feet pamper trio iyswim? what do you think?

the SA did do a bit bit of double take (probably making a mental note to get some later!) when I put all 3 one after the other, cos they can see the offer come up on their screens, but I did have some other stuff as well so the final total was not too ridiculous. In a busy store with a few other items they won't even notice, no one on here has had it turned down (as far as I can see), cos there is nothing wrong with this deal - it's just clever shopping.
  • Just a reminder to one and all ......

Off topic .................... £5 voucher for Tesco £30 spend, tomorrow, 16th November, NOTW - every little helps.

PS - Got my gift bags, and found the "cleverly concealed" Boots logo. It can be beautifully disguised by putting a Christmassy self-adhesive sticker over it, if the purchase is non-Boots, and if you don't want to do that, who's to know that you just didn't buy these bags at Boots - which we did!

PPS My DH and I have just received our letters saying that we are getting the Heating Allowance shortly. We have celebrated merrily by putting another light on, and having another cuppa!

But what a waste of postage. Why not send us one letter, or put both in the same envelope? Bah, humbug.

the 4 pack blades for the quattro razor are £2.74 on the sel but come up as £3.59 on the till, so check with the SA before you pay. My SA went to check the sel then put it thru at the proper half price. Thanks to jamsandwhich on here who flagged this up last week :T
The 8 pack of blades seems to be only 1/3 off so £7ish.

On the subject of the quattro razor, I've been a bit daft :o. I'm used to buying disposable razors so I bought 6 quattro yesterday (don't worry 2 different stores, I didn't empty the shelves!). My OH said why did you buy all these? you can just replace the blades, Doh! So we've got a few more than we need. So if anyone can't get hold of them, pm me

    razors gone now
