Went for an early morning shop in Kingston (upon Thames) and came across the Botanics facial pamper pack. Its a mini sized one. Was £4.95 now £1.95 save £3.00. This wasn't clearance and had a normal Botanics special offer reduced one (as most botanics stuff is on offer). Loads left on the shelf.

Also loads of S&G £5 sets. Only 1 Razor left though and none in the Bentalls Centre boots either.
  • MrsBluebear - I don't know how you are staying sane! I've never heard of such a dreadful c*** up! I cannot see why CS can't refund your money to Paypal, and I think it's atrocious that they haven't.

For what it's worth, I'd recommend asking CS the name of their Managing Director. Then I would write to him, detailing the whole miserable saga, making sure that you put lots of paragraphs in, cos it's easier to read that way.

Make sure you keep a copy. Tell him exactly what you've told us - ie, that you're overdrawn because of this error, that you had to make a special trip to get a refund, and not on the method by which you paid, that you've incurred a huge telephone bill (I can't find an 0800 number for CS, can anyone else?), etc, etc.

I wish you lived nearby, cos I'd give you a huge hug, and wipe your poor, fevered brow with a nice damp flannel!

    Good Luck
    xx

Aww thanks hunni....I swear to god, I nearly had a nervous collapse in Boots just now....here I go with the lastest installment (This is like the neverending story!!! )

Just went to Boots explained to the lovely chap, he starts to refund it then notices on the invoice I paid by paypal, stops what he's doing and says he'll have to confirm with CS  So I'm like 'okay, fine...they said this morning it was okay, call away' so off he toddles, comes back...on hold for 20mins, then CS person decides they can't deal with it, so passes it on to senior CS, who then puts the poor SA on hold for another 15 mins

By this time, I am at breaking point, and ready to either walk out, or have a major cow strop

Lovely SA boy was so nice, honestly....he's begging senior CS lady at this point to allow him to do a refund on my debit card and I can see he's having no luck and then he says it could take 5 days to refund...so...I take the phone

Honestly, I spoke in a calm clear manner and said 'Hi this is Ms XXXXX, I am the customer...' cue stunned silence..."To be perfectly honest, I am flaming over this matter, if I had changed my mind, or double ordered by mistake, I could understand and accept what you are saying...as this is your mistake, I can't accept what your saying. As it is, for everyday I am overdrawn, my bank charges me approx £23 per day...if it takes five days for a refund, I will pay more in bank charges than the items are worth, honestly is this acceptable to you?' cue mumbled sorry...so I steamed ahead..'so if this is acceptable to you, I assume I will receive a full refund for the order and £115 pounds for the bank charges..' cue...no it wouldn't work like that... then I said 'So can I just ask if you were the customer, is this the level of Customer Service you would expect?' (THANKS OP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)) cue...no, i would not...so I said..."would you like my card number for the refund then?' (bear in mind this is in a crowded store, with 3 SAs watching, customers, my OH and step DDs  ) She then said..'YES, that will be okay Ms xxxxx'  Takes my card details and does a refund...and asks to speak to SA

SA goes away with order, comes back and says...'I am awfully sorry and glad she done your refund straight onto your card....but I have also asked that as a goodwill gesture you are allowed to keep points from both orders, and CS have agreed, they should be on the ACM within 5 days'

Cue me nearly fainting under shock and relief :rotfl: :rotfl:

So all sorted, though she did say it may take a few hours for the refund on to my card to show...is this right guys? :T :T :T :T

I just want to say a big thanks to everyone of you, for the advice, help and support - I really was at the end of my tether this morning, but you guys helped me stand my ground :j :j

Hi, i dont normally post on here as I never find any of the fab deals in Boots first but have benefitted from a few of the glitches so thank you all.
Mrs Bluebear sorry to hear about the nightmares you've had with .com - re your card refund I know at my work we always have to advise it can take upto 5 days for the refund to show on a card as its down to the banks processing them, even though it is physically swiped or keyed back onto your card there and then it can take a few days to actually show up in your account. Id keep an eye on your account if you have online banking, its a bit like when you buy something and pay on card at asda etc and it only shows coming out of your account the next day.

Glad you got it sorted and yes, it can take a while for a refund to show up especially being a weekend may not update properly until Monday - you may not see the refund in your account but it will definately be there within your account balance - did any of that make sense to you, it doesn't to me but I know what I am trying to say!!! At least it is all sorted - well done.
