I had exactly the same problem a couple of weeks ago and posted on here for advice. I put through an order and had problems with it not accepting my points - it only gave me 1900 instead of 2900! When I phoned up cs they put it through manually and gave me my 2900 points. I checked my order history a day later and both orders had gone through! I was charged twice as I checked my bank a/c. I was also told by cs that you cannot cancel an order once it is processed (blip on the system apparently) I was really annoyed as in the order history page it says you can cancel before it reaches the warehouse by pressing the button at the foot of the order history page - there isn't one!! I was told to reject one of the orders when it was delivered and only sign for one and the other would be refunded. So that is what I had to do - it took 4 days though for the refund to go through! They did give me both lots of points though shhhhhhhhhh:T HTHI used to have a life............................... before MSE!!

your best bet is to ring the store tell them ur unhappy about the way it been dealt with on store level and that u want a number for customer services to make an official complaint, manager will resolve it there and then as no wants there store being reported like that, i can assure that this works as i have done it and received 750 points from cs, however if u want to be compensated ring cs anyway!!
It was cs that i first made the complaint to, have spoken to the manager of the store today and they are going to speak to the staff and they said sorry and that they were disspointed in their staff, they gave me their name in case i had any other problems in the store. There was no mention of points been offered, do you think i should phone cs back and ask them.Married 09/09/090 -
Asked in Huddersfield today if they had any S&G GWP left as there werent any on the shelves & SA said ooh yes I have boxes & boxes in the stock room.
She brought down 3 boxes each containing about 10 sets & said there were still loads of boxes upstairs so anyone that wants one go quick.

I'd be surprised to see it in the 75% off sale - it's very popular around these parts!
Not to mention that the soap and glory sets (if you're talking about the Admit it you want me) probably are NOT part of the Christmas giftsets. They are on 342 now because s&g is on 342, not because they are part of the Christmas sale. I would've thought they'd continue to be sold at 5 each after Christmas? Either way, you're right, bham-dave, it's best not to wait!
I don't know if I'm going to hold out for 75% off on the s&g christmas sets, either, I may have to do that at 50%. It seems like they never marked things down here beyond that anyhow, people were talking about getting things early this year at 1.88 that were 7.50 here, or getting things for 2.25 that were 9 or 10 here.0 -
That will make up for the fact that I dragged oh around boots last night totting up my totals and trying to convince him it was worthwhile etc etc.
got to the till, handed over two baskets full and vouchers. of course THEN i realised that I had got the xmas shopping date wrong.

I'm just jealous cos I had domestic responsibilities and couldn't get to my Boots Xmas eve yest - and I've got a 500 bonus points coupon from the first one burning a hole in my purse. Definitely ring back and ask for points as compensation. Say you're not happy with the handling of your complaint and would they be prepared to offer points in compensation. They tend not to offer unless you ask. If you're feeling very brave, ask for more than the first offer. If they suggest 250 points, say that you feel 500 would be more appropriate. I've done this today about an online order and got 700 points from a starting offer of 75!0 -

Hi it closes at 6 & is on King st, just up from the Kingsgate shopping centre in the middle of town. The sets are in the toiletries annex, on the wall to the left of the tills.
