A concave top means that the loaf will have a dip in the top. Its easy to remember, if you picture a (con)cave, it will dip in (, whilst convex goes the opposite way ).0 -
A concave top means that the loaf will have a dip in the top. Its easy to remember, if you picture a (con)cave, it will dip in (, whilst convex goes the opposite way ).I am so sorry, I really do not explain things well. What I meant was, the last two loaves I have made have had a dip in the top instead of a rounded bit
I wonder if the yeast is elderly. I really must look in the manual.
The last one tasted lovely regardless, but I haven't yet cut into this one.

Well, I thought I was making convex loaves, but the breadmaker, it seems did not see matters the same way.
There is always one, and it usually is me.
The mats are drying on the airer now and look lovely. And, if I am particularly blessed, they will not show the tabby hairs from evil cat that will get embedded within seconds of them being put down. The washing machine is getting a run through with just stardrops in. Nothing has gone bang yet.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -

Good Evening All
I just thought I would tell you about the car ,,,we did not get it it was too small being a 1.3 engine also the car was small .. so we did not get it
I went to Morrisons while I was up ther to get milk and fell over in the milk aisle.. the floor was wet with no warning signs and guess what I slipped on it ..They took my name and address but I had to go to hospital ,,where I found out I had pulled the big muscle in my back ,,from my neck ,,shoulder and down my back,, only me could do it ..
I did not therefore do any washing or anything today as we are just home ,,and we picked up fish & chips and mushy peas on the way home and have just finished them ,,,it wa s a change ..
I have not to go to the gym but I think I may just on the treadmill ,,but the doc says I will get extremely stiff tomorrow
see you soon

evening everyone - not read all the thread sorry - just got in.
Many thanks for your kind thoughts about my friend. I spent the afternoon with her and then took her home to spend a weekend with her family to discuss her options. The cancer has spread to the fatty tissue from the ovaries. It looks like she will have a big op in a couple of weeks followed by 5 months of chemotherapy. She is a wonderful woman and has a lot of family and friends behind her.
Catowen - hope your nan had a great birthday!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
ooh candynana - congratulations - I'm a Nana too and dgs(3) has a little apron that tells the world that he's Nana's Little Helper - got it in Rosebys last year so look out for that - guessing she's a bit young yet thoughI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
